An app that aids in patching and building PS3 backup packages, was released today, by a dev who calls himself dobosz. The author does not take credit for the methods or keys used inside the app, which he calls Raw Games Installer. It is based on the work of GeoHot, fail0verflow, and DeLiGhT.

To Do List:

- Limit the logs
- Improved external HDD support (FAT32 only). Tested on InFamous.
- FTP Client

Description:

Raw Games Installer is a simple application which was made to help you with patching and building PS3 backup packages.
I don’t claim metods or keys usesed in this application.
This is a simple wrapper between you and hackers software.
Application use code developed by GeoHot, Team Fail0verFlow, and DeLiGhT.
Orginal programs can be found in “dependence” folder.

Change Log:

1.1.0.0:
- added delete temp_dir folder
- minor bug fixed
- added dev_usb patch. Some games won't work with it. Still need improvment, if path reference conteins NULL it wont work. Tested on Infamous.

1.0.1.2:
- GUI improved.
- Some error handeling.

Thanks a lot this works amazing got it done and it is so easy a chimp can do it.

BACKUPS PLAY FINE WITH THIS WANT HELP ASK :-)

Oh and one more thing does anyone no how to stop the PS3 from updating i have a sense that a new update will be coming out very very soon

PSN Store works fine as well as online nothing changed at all this is just like WOW haha Much respect to everyone for all there hard work

I get as far as
Running psn_package_npdrm

Then Windows tells me the program is not working... Any thoughts?

OOOHHH MYYY APPLE PIEEE THIS IS SOOOOO CONFUSING! lol i think i might have to wait for someone to make a tutorial on this because ive spent the past few hours fiddling around and got nowhere.. hmmm i fail... misserably lol but its good for this to be finally released after all the court cases going on etc.. good work guys and thanks!

disconnect it from the interwebs or set your router to deny the PS3 acess to the internet

im kind of doubting an update this has been going on for almost 2 weeks now and even if there is an update some one will reverse it remove what ever rubbish sony throws in there and re-release at least id hope

would be nice if some one would figure out how to extract the necessary PSN files in the future so we could just inject the "PSN handshake" in any firmware version

Hi, everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem, I have BLES00449 on my PC (Need for Speed Undercover, just saying name so anyone can point any incompatibilities) and when opening the folder in this program, it just says it cannot find the PARAM.SFO file but it is there, how do I fix this problem?

mate make sure it is in the right directory. sometimes when you downlod them the files arent in the right place

if I patch path with dev_usb do I just leave the game in the gamez directory on the usb?
cause i installed the pkg and the game goes to black screen so idk if its not workin or the game folders in the wrong place.

make two folders on your desktop
folder 1 should say "game folder" or wht ever install games in that folder and go to that folder in program
2 folder lets say "out dir " extract out to this folder

So let me get this straight. You patch the game... then you put the game (Folder named BLUS000101 or w/e) then you install package and it works?

i got everything goin apart from loading it goes to black screen i installed param of usb to ps3 where do you go from there this is with 3.41 mind you

Did you install PKG file? and to everyone else. Please, I don't want this to be buried.

I too need a lil help i'm soooo close now. I ran program & everything went fine. Installed pkg went fine.I used the game Infamous just make sure i wouldn't fail. Clicked on game in xmb and got "Game Failed To Install" WTF ???? i did everything right but i installed usdir to wrong place. I made a new folder in /dev_hdd0 called PS3_0119. i then put the usrdir in that newly created folder. Did i do that right guys? Or maybe i should've put usdir in the folder that the pkg made /dev_hdd0/game/BCUS98119. Or was i supposed to change that folders name to PS3_0119??

Did anyone get blackops 1.05 online PSN MP to work???
I just get a blackscreen when I click on multiplayer....

I'm not sure about Infamous, either. He claims that it works, but I tried it and got "Install failed" (or something like that) upon starting the game.

Im pretty sure you put the usrdir in the folder the pkg made.

OK so In the usrdir i end up with ane eboot.bin (thats normal) but also an eboot.elf, is that suppose to happen

Just patch the multiplayer self file, and run it directly

yeah i have the same problem im trying to load backups using my external drive but no luck any help guys?
