True but meh I have so many modded consoles that most/all of them become boring DS/PSP/PS2/3.41 ps3 all have games so on my official ps3 It wouldnt kill me to buy a game for it. Besides more people download more games that they actually complete anyway

Stop complaining piracy if piracy if people want to buy the dongle then do be it. Sony did nothing wrong for trying to make their system secure and TB did nothing wrong of making people pay for their dongle.

This is why it's nice being a PC gamer whilst also having a flashed 360 and a PS3 on CFW. PC for most things, then the PSN games & console games up to 3.55 for the PS3, then nice new releases & online function of the 360

buying an original yeah sometimes it is tempting but not for
those who live in EU and have to pay over 70 euros for a game
and beside the long rpg games all the rest are gonna be done
in few days so imagine if you are a full time gamer have to spend
thousands of $$ on games...so for me is piracy all the way even
if the sopa/pipa trying to ruin that...lost 5TB of games from MU...

There is really no reason to pay over 70 euros for a game in the EU. I've bought over 100 games from EU and there is only a handful of games where i payed more than 30 euros tops for each game. Usually the price is max 25 euro. Just import from the UK, from sites like Play.com. Play.com also has free shipping. If you want to buy a game at launch and around the launch period, then you can also import from the UK and the price is rarely higher than 50 euro. But if you wait a few months, then the price usually come down a lot

And the you have the used market and rental as well. You dont have to buy new games if you dont want that. It is also possible to borrow games from friends as well.

Do you really think that making piracy much more widespread on the PS3 would make more people buy games? I'm sure that Sony prefer stuff like TrueBlue over having a open source and totally free solution that everyone can use.

Not Everyone who owns a True Blue is a pirate. I bet alot of us own one to boot our newer games that we bought, that way we can have the freedom of playing them off the HD or off the disc if we shall choose instead of being restricted by OFW.

There will never be any proof either for or against it but IMO less then 1% of true blue owners will actually buy any new PS3 games.

I hate to tell you bro but you are in the 1% if I did own one of those dongles I would be pirating I mean why go through the trouble of buying games just to fool around with eboot fixes instead of just cut on your PS3 and play. It kinda defeats the whole purpose of being on CFW if you bought those games. Faster loading screens are an excuse to me sorry but owning 2 PS3's myself Any game I buy I play on OFW any game I pirate I play on my 3.41 ps3 jailbreak dongle. It's just that simple I have no problem buying games that I like and I have no problem pirating games that I like if I can play them on my ps3.

Also I hope a mod need to address (since they want it to be a no bashing zone) tell members to STOP with with the TB hate TB owners are tired of hearing their complaining and I'm tired of hearing the same things like it or not THEY are keeping the scene on a small piece of thread and for god sakes the damn dongle pays for itself if you pirate one new game so really people get your priorities straight if you bitch about a dongle and its price you don't have any intentions on buying for any games. To be honest the dongle is DIRT CHEAP I didn't buy one because the games I wanted it relied on online also for updates for me to buy PSN content for them but for others looking to keep their firmware this is PERFECT for them. How do we always get side tracked on the pros and cons of the TrueBlue. This topic is about new patches for it. Not whether anybody thinks it's right or wrong. We've all heard both arguments 100 times and like Darkman-PSG said it's getting old. Weren't we just talking about staying on topic in these threads? to those wanting Arkham City and own an xbox, i would normally say wait for a tb release, but AC was one of the games i couldn't help go out and buy. Not only because its such a good game, but because i have a ton of respect for the work put into the game. I know games like skyrim have huuge budgets/teams behind them, but the polish on AC, the amount of attention to detail in even the most hidden of easter eggs (and not to mention the pretty sweet DLC costumes that cost almost nothing.) just made me want to support the developers.

also, if there was ever a game to own the authentic disk, i think AC would be one of em.

Reading back these comments, I don't see the real insult. Its a article on True Blue pacthes, you'd expect opinions on true blue as a product, and i believe its reasonably within the topic parameters to discuss true blue dongles. Some like it, some hate it. What matters is its discussed in a civil manner not intending insult to individuals. And so far everyone has fit that criteria, so I am quite happy to let people go as they are.

This isn't censorship (General statement). But I can't speak for other mods opinion in regards to the above.

You should give it a try. I jumped into it during the second PS3 release, it was fun. I love killing the crap out of the guards! You can follow the plot or just go and earn money and get upgrades first. That is what I did, I went for the upgrades and then last I run through the plot of the story.

After I played the 2nd PS3 released then I played the first and all the rest up to Revelations. As to Revelations (a TB release) I wish TB team would provide an update so we can install the update patch for this game, since it fixes a lot of issues. I hated having to reset the game. I had an issue where after a while the sound would drop and then it would freeze, so I had to soft reset just the game (not the PS3--thank GOD!). It was definitely a bug from the makers of the game, which apparently their latest updates fixes it, but TB hasn't provided any support for it. Still even though with this bug, I was able to finish the game.

BTW, I own all the original discs, I am a fan now!

I'm saying saying users of the TB dongle are pirates, I'm saying the people manufacturing True Blue are nothing but common thieves. Profiting off of other peoples software, & a lot of Graf's work. I wonder do they contribute to Graf's legal bill with all their earnings? You can bet your bottom dollar they don't. All I'm saying, is that the news scene sites should boycott their releases, in a protest against this blatant theft.
