Here at PSX-SCENE, we are proud to announce the 'official' arrival of bitsbubba's Newbie Friendly Ware, 3.55 NFW v2. 3.70 Spoofed and Unspoofed versions are now available. Cinavia disabled(except AVCHD and BD: Work in Progress) is already a given, and QA Flaq options are also included, although OtherOS++ has been left out for now.

Also released with NFW v2, bitsbubba's PKG-Pack-NFW; a collection of PS3 scene homebrew for installation to NFW's "The Homebrew Channel" and PS3MFW Builder's Homebrew/TV category

Be on the lookout for NFW v3 and NFW v3.0-CobraUSB (CobraUSB's CFW NEWBIFIED!!!)

Instructions aka 1-2-3 NFW (bitsbubba's Newbie Friendly Ware):
1. Format USB device FAT32
2. Place PS3UPDAT.PUP in x:/PS3/UPDATE
3. Install via XMB
NOTE: If you are not on OFW 3.55, please download and install that first, the same way you would install NFW. You can find OFW 3.55 here.

NFW v2-3.70spoofed (no icons removed)
With the versions that come SPOOFED, the only way to revert back to another FW is though Recovery Menu.

Is it recommended to install all your pkg's in your pack? I successfully put your FW on my console and now I want showtime to work with WatchTV. Hoping to get a internet connection in for that.

if you have something installed on your PS3 but want to move it to "The Homebrew Channel" category then use my pack, it's just everything in my pack installs to "The Homebrew Channel" (I didn't include Showtime in my pack as it already installs to the video category, it's rightful place) But on another note if there's some thing not in my pack that you think should be post what is and maybe a link and I'll add it

Well i got all my games patched for 3.55 now... thanks to MulitMAN's Ebootfix program But still for some odd reason some games will not load in MulitMAN yet work fine on Rogero_Manager_v8.2 I have BDemu v2 installed and everything, Even went into the MulitMan options for BDemu and switched from hermes to standerd etc etc to see if that would help, But did not O' well i like MulitMAN and all but what can i do

idk whats going on. this installed just perfect on my 120gb slim. my 60gb phat wont take. it. i reverted from wininkokov2 to ofw3.55 xmb update says its already running the the same firmware, and when i go through recovery menu it installs but its just 3.55 ofw. no i am not mixing the files up. help

the one i tryed to install is NFW3.7spoof. im gonna try the 3.55 unspoofed on my phat 60 and see what happens

UPDATE: used NFW3.55 unspoofed and it worked great through recovery menu. ps i also realized there was a disc in my drive and removed it. idk if this effected anything. hope this helps someone else.

seems your disc has 3.55 OFW, yea my 60GB launch only takes the same version FW in Recovery mode (must be a 60GB thing)

I have a question I read in your read me that you Added Start Game (Disc-less) to game category. For games that needed a disc in drive with Kmeaw do you no longer need disk in drive for you NFW. I ask cause my drive dont spin/read disc. Thx and Thx for ur NFW goodjob

No it's just "app_home/PS3_GAME" renamed to "Start Game (disc-less)" no luck on the better compatibility then KMEAW. If you want true disc-less support for all games (and 3.55) might I suggest the CobraUSB dongle I love mine so much I totally got rid of "app_home/PS3_GAME" in my upcoming NFW v3.0-CobraUSB (beta) CFW!!

Edit: I've read reports of PS3s without drives play all games play fine with CobraUSB

it's RazorX's tcl, are you trying to use it on KMEAW, PS3MFW Builder works best if used on OFW, if it is KMEAW might I suggest 3.70 spoofer from REBUG

hi, i already have kmeaw can i just update without going back to ofw 3.55? or do i have to go to ofw first then this new cfw? also if i have to go back will i lose all of my current back ups?

I myself actually update 3-5 times every other day (testing) and never use OFW, it's just suggested as a precaution
