Here at PSX-SCENE, we are proud to announce the 'official' arrival of bitsbubba's Newbie Friendly Ware, 3.55 NFW v2. 3.70 Spoofed and Unspoofed versions are now available. Cinavia disabled(except AVCHD and BD: Work in Progress) is already a given, and QA Flaq options are also included, although OtherOS++ has been left out for now.

Also released with NFW v2, bitsbubba's PKG-Pack-NFW; a collection of PS3 scene homebrew for installation to NFW's "The Homebrew Channel" and PS3MFW Builder's Homebrew/TV category

Be on the lookout for NFW v3 and NFW v3.0-CobraUSB (CobraUSB's CFW NEWBIFIED!!!)

Instructions aka 1-2-3 NFW (bitsbubba's Newbie Friendly Ware):
1. Format USB device FAT32
2. Place PS3UPDAT.PUP in x:/PS3/UPDATE
3. Install via XMB
NOTE: If you are not on OFW 3.55, please download and install that first, the same way you would install NFW. You can find OFW 3.55 here.

With the versions that come SPOOFED, the only way to revert back to another FW is though Recovery Menu.

I am still on Kmeaw 3.55 and still visit the site regularly for the news stories, but can't be bothered to read them now as it's all news I've heard before with frilly bits added that actually do nothing to help the end user. I suggest only reporting on the big news and leave all this trivial news stories to the lesser sites. And I still believe this is a great site so please don't take this the wrong way. Just cut down on all the bull crap CFW's that want to take kmeaw's No1 spot without offering nothing substantial ...... PEACE!

u r the man bitsbubba i like how u answer all the question , nice work indeed i like the homebrew channel in the xmp and dontknow wat is the useful of the spoofer but atleast a step closer to psn and thank u for your efforts

The funny thing is i got games that work yet don't work.... they load and everything yet they get stuff on loading screens, And the games are not fix for 3.41 (full 100% self rips) and i check to see if the games should work and all boards are saying yes on CFW Kmeaw

Now i remember why i hated MulitMAN... nothing works in it LOL... anyways, Back on 3.41 i used OpenManager for all games and it worked the best, I tried a Openmanager for 3.55 but did not work on this CFW Anyways i just tried with Rogero_Manager_v8.2 and my game loaded right up...

That's because you need to install BDEMU2 so MM can work correctly. Not trying to sound like an MM fanboy, but you ought to know that MM happens to be one of the most powerful managers out there. Here is the link in order for you to get BDEMU2 http://psx-scene.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=38

In the kmeaw 3.55 tutorial you are instructed to install LV2 in order to make Gaia or other managers work with 3.55. But with MM, you need BDEMU2. This is perhaps why Rogero is working and MM isn't working for you. You need to install BDEMU2 so MM has the payload it requires to work as it should. Plus you may need to run a game fix for each game you have in MM, since you had 3.41 before. Doesn't hurt to ask, but it does sting when you blame the wrong reason why it's not working.

Any more MM issues please start a new thread in the MM section or if it's related to another issue, then just ask, before you diss the apps and it's devs. Knowledge is the key you are missing right now.

great work bitsbubba works great.no more pesky cineavia lovin the 3.70 spoof aswell been worried about the kids updatin mine while im at work since the bbc iplayer app was updated , dont have to worry now, just need to get iplayer workin again an i will be a very happy person

I believe it is a combination of,
members wanting to find out more,
about Custom FW, Modified FW,
and creating your own FW using PS3MFW.

Or they are all asking about bitsbubba's cinavia file uploads, or his Pre-Patched Lv2 for BR Region Changing

BTW: If you view this article from the front page, it is only 6 pages to read through, not 106. I know that if you view this topic from the forums, there are probably many more

This will not work with German PS3s, the menu categories are completely mixed.

Yes I d/led from the link on front page installed it was was just as I uploaded, and so I installed it again same results

really as far as I was aware the XMB was the same throughout regions, guess I need to install REBUG and switch throughout regions to see the differences
