Here at PSX-SCENE, we are proud to announce the 'official' arrival of bitsbubba's Newbie Friendly Ware, 3.55 NFW v2. 3.70 Spoofed and Unspoofed versions are now available. Cinavia disabled(except AVCHD and BD: Work in Progress) is already a given, and QA Flaq options are also included, although OtherOS++ has been left out for now.

Also released with NFW v2, bitsbubba's PKG-Pack-NFW; a collection of PS3 scene homebrew for installation to NFW's "The Homebrew Channel" and PS3MFW Builder's Homebrew/TV category

Be on the lookout for NFW v3 and NFW v3.0-CobraUSB (CobraUSB's CFW NEWBIFIED!!!)

Instructions aka 1-2-3 NFW (bitsbubba's Newbie Friendly Ware):
1. Format USB device FAT32
2. Place PS3UPDAT.PUP in x:/PS3/UPDATE
3. Install via XMB
NOTE: If you are not on OFW 3.55, please download and install that first, the same way you would install NFW. You can find OFW 3.55 here.

Download NFW: NFW v2-unspoofed
NFW v2-3.70spoofed
NFW v2-3.70spoofed (no icons removed)
With the versions that come SPOOFED, the only way to revert back to another FW is though Recovery Menu.

Let's say I installed the spoof version. If I later want to go back to kmeaw 3.55, what is the proper procedure?

you can revert back to any 3.55 FW (CFW, MFW, OFW) through Recovery Mode

just updated using. NFW v2-unspoofed just tested Bad teatcher R5.avi and no Cinavia message as was in kemew.

If anybody could test a AVCHD or BD-R (BD-RW) known to have Cinavia that would be great!

If I update this from kmeaw ie install OFW 3.55 and then this will I loose my back-ups on the hard drive ?

what steps i need to take to uninstall cfw 3.55 kmeaw for later install this with 3.70 spoofed? this is safe?

No as it's only app_home/PS3_GAME with a new name Same compatibility as KMEAW

I believe there's a list toward the end of the disable Cinavia drm thread, also might search for cinavia on DVDFab site

Edit: 20 seconds I believe (not really sure) I've had it disabled for too long (also "The Losers" for sure has cinavia)

if Showtime's already setup (even if it's not) everything should be just as it is with the FW you're on (just think of it as KMEAW with some Newbie Friendly Ware BLING!!)

i need to uninstall multiman and others apps like emulators or showtime to reinstall the OFW? and then follow the steps to install this?and what happens to my internal games?

I played 2 blu rays (tourist, kartekid) on my ps3 and they both worked all the way? they were back-ups and burned as bdmv's, I never tried it cuz everyone said it won't work and I have seen cinivia error before when streaming, I use an old tube tv with analog input, is it only digital? but I heard if you use hdmi and have dts decoder it wont detect cinivia??really confused if it work digital and analog then....wait what?Sorry for the BS very unrelated post

No, it is simple as 1-2-3 NFW. You do not need to do any extra steps, like the ones you have suggested. Everything will stay the same like all your games, except you will now have NFWv2 on your PS3!

no leave everything as is follow steps on front page, I install FW 3-5 times every other day(testing) never lost a game yet!
