  • 3.50 Firmware Jailbroken by X3Max

    Logic-Sunrise is reporting some exciting and very important news. Team X3 has successfully managed to jailbreak a 3.50 firmware console, with no need to downgrade to 3.41. The two questions posed by this exciting news are: Will games like Gran Turismo 5 work? and is this update going to be free for X3Max users? The PS3 scene is moving at a rocket's pace, stay tuned to PSGroove.com for more exciting news.



    And this is the third major advance in the world of hack Playstation 3: The jailbreak firmware 3.50 the PS3 by Team X3 with X3Max without downgrade! After the jailbreak firmware up to 3.41, then downgrade the firmware 3.50, now Team that X3 has managed to run homebrew on official firmware 3.50 without downgrading! The downgrade is also possible.

    The announcement is important, and Logic-Sunrise has done well to have bet on this team. 2 big questions:

    - Games like Gran Turismo 5 (requires firmware 3.50) work?
    - This update is compatible with the X3max? Is it free?
    We have that kind of information on LS in a few hours, but the feedback I have from them show a free and compatibility with X3Max with an update, but I prefer to have confirmation. Until we have more information, a video of the feat. Knowing the team, comments calling into doubt the hack team by 3.50 X3 will be punishable by banishment to LS.

      And people thought the ps3 jb scene was dying; even thought I was/still am very close to buying another ps3 for online play. Just hope either the downgrader and/or 3.50fw hack will be ported to other dongles very very soon

      They shouldn't release it, people are good with downgrading for now.Leave it so we can use the exploit in later, more feature filled firmwares.

      lol, sony is just probley going to release 3.51 and we will have to upgrade if we want to play online and then downgrade to play our back up games that we own (wink, wink).... like they released 3.50 when 3.41 got hacked;/

      Guys this is how it works, hackers hack the firmware, Sony bring out a new firmware. Downgrading is ultimately pointless.

      3.50 will bring you all the latest games to date, excellent 3D Bluray and gameplay support. It's a big leap forward, if it can/has been hacked please release it

      Why is it the videos always are with lights off and unfocused mobile cameras? Are they afraid of mum because it was recorded at 4am? Nobody apart from me have a semi-decent camera that records video?

      C'mon using a lighter to show the dongle? Smells like hoax from Spain!

      Check out the PSN time and date, this is not possible with the spoof payload.. Awesome news, roll on the summer nxt year when custom firmware will be released - PS3 will fall to the same fate the PS1,2, and PSP have fallen too. No firmware created by man will ever be 100% secure, its impossible

      But you've also got to ask yourself, why would a popular manufacture of PS3 hacks lie about this? I mean it may make a few people buy their stuff, because they think it'll mean they'll get the 3.50 jailbreak first, but after that, when it's found to be a lie (if it is), then their reputation will be ruined.

      I personally think this is true and am looking forward to it (although I still think they should save the exploit for now, 3.41 is ok for the majority of us and Sony will just patch it asap).

      The lights are of because it makes for better recording of the screen. The camera wont try and adjust focus or light settings for surroundings cause it cant see em. At least that much they know, as for the rest, i guess they dont.
