@nadheeh: When a file is downloaded there is a popup with the information. The file goes either in /dev_hdd0/packages or in /dev_hdd0/PKG

In the latest update the destination was changed to /dev_hdd0/packages to ease it for the Rebug Users.

You have two options: use mmOS to access the folder or use the [*Install Package Files] function in mM to install the package.

While I was about to install the 4.17.05 UPD pkg through mM I accidentally queued other files to install that I didn't want to install at the moment. No biggie, the only problem was that I didn't see a way to deselect them or exit out of the "Install Package File" tool within mM. Once you select a .pkg file Triangle no longer allows you to exit.

Thinking that pressing 'X' again would un-queue the file I queued the same file about 3 times. Again, no biggie. I see the queue limit says 'x/5'. Well I kept going to see what would happen and once it got to '9/5' the system froze and I had to hold the power button to turn it off. Obviously user error but I'm just reporting it to you. 'x/5' means that 5 is the total amount but mM still allows you to queue more than 5 files.

Would it be possible to implement an option to "deselect" an item once it has been queued? Also, to no allow mM to queue the same file?

Again, user error with the '9/5 queued' and the system freeze but I just thought I'd report it since mM allows you to queue more than 5 files.

EDIT: Would it also be possible to delete .pkg files directly from the "Install Package Files" tools within mM? Just to prevent from having to browse through mmOS.

I'm not sure how you made it show 9/5 really. Btw you can always exit the window by pressing [SQUARE]. The queued files can be only removed in XMB by deleting the 'bubbles'.

mM supports up to 255 queued files so something weird must have happened.

Oh okay. Didn't know I could use [square]. It doesn't pop-up as an option at the bottom.

I queued a file and looked for it in the mM XMB and didn't find it. Where can I find it? I also tried looking on the normal PS3 XMB but once I leave mM the file is no longer queued.

I realized what I did with the '9/5'. Now I see that it meant 'x/5' files that I have in the PKG/packages/usb folders. So, yeah, user error.

Queued = copied to the special folder for the PS3 to install it. By "XMB" I mean "XMB" and not mM's XMMB mode.

Once file is queued it will show as a bubble in the PS3's XMB (on 3.55 it requires restart).

Okay. I'm on Rebug 4.21 so it shows up in the "Standard Package Location" in the "Package Manager". No restart needed. Thanks for the help. No restart needed on 4.21. If you restart the system the queued files are removed.

On 4.21 REX with the "Install Method" option set to "Standard" - no files are really queued nor copied. If you use the "PSN (Bubble)" method - they'll show under "PSN Content" in the "Package Manager". Also the bubble option allows you to queue files from different drives/locations and join split pkg files. This is the mandatory mode on 4.30CFW.

The "Standard" setting also allowed me to queue files from different drives/locations.
Both options work fine for me (didn't know about the PSN 'bubble' method before but it's actually more convenient for me). But, of course, with the bubble option the queued files are still there if you happen to restart your PS3 (at least they're still there for me).

A question about the standard method. This happened to me before when I would download updates for games through mM or download mM updates there would be multiple copies (2 or 3) of the file I downloaded/queued. This doesn't happen with the bubble method, just with the standard method. I experienced this on 3.55 kmeaw as well. Any particular reason why this would happen or am I doing something wrong?

The multiple entries (not copies) are because of a flaw in 3.55 firmware and the way it shows 'redirected paths'. You have one actual file but it shows 2 or 3 times under /app_home, /dev_bdvd and /dev_usb***. That's the reason.

I also wanted to tell you that the first time this issue happened to me, was when I exited Showtime to return to mM and then I had the black screen afterward. I then turned off my PS3 using the on/off button. And when I tried to run mM again, black screen again. So I had exit mM through FTP command. Then I reinstalled 04.17.05 again, and it seemed to have fixed the issue for a moment. But then every once in while it would reoccur.

Also, is there a way to make less sensitive the L2/R2 in 4x2 display. It seems that it tends to skip two pages when I do it. I have to make sure I tap it carefully. Before, it was not this sensitive. Hopefully you can do something about this?

So far so good. I don't experience the black screen issue.

And my external HDD's LED is back to normal.

The only thing now is hopefully you can make less sensitive the L2 and R2 buttons in 4x2 display so it doesn't skip pages.

Hi Deank, first that all, thank u so much for your work,

i have a question, i have issues, when i try to load external subtitles in showtime on MM 4.17.00, it doesnt load any external subtitle, but in 4.09.00 it works.
any suggestion?

i am on Rogero 4.30 v2.03.

Works fine here. I use showtime everyday with subtitles.
