PSP CFW For PS Vita Available - That's If You Caught It In Time

If you caught the recent article regarding the leak of Coldbird's CFW and the exploitable game in which the user mode/kernel exploit existed, then lets hope you took the initiative to purchase the game in question. i.e. Urbanix mini. However this only applies to the EU version of the game... for now.

Trusted PSP scener Total_Noob has released a PSP custom firmware (6.60 TN-A CFE) that is compatible with PS Vita firmware 1.81 using the Urbanix exploit. This opens many doors for Vita owners, that is if you own the game. Recent news suggests that the EU version of the game has already been removed from PSN stores. So if you can download it from US/JP, you better do it NOW!

If you are saddened by this news, don't give up just yet. Reports suggest that other already released VHBL exploits could be backported to allow this PSP CFW on the Vita.

Total Noob, famous for his TN Hen tool for the PSP a few years ago, is back on the Sony scene with an insane release: a PSP Custom Firmware compatible with the recently leaked Urbanix Exploit!

A growing number of reports that following the announce of Total_Noob’s HEN a few hours ago, the game Urbanix, which has an exploit allowing people to run his PSP Custom Firmware on the Vita, was removed from the EU PSN stores. People are reporting that the game was also removed from their download list. I expect the same will happen to the other locales (US, JP, etc…) within a few hours. If you have one of the previous VHBL exploits, it is possible the kernel exploit will get backported to your game exploit at some point, so if you are interested in that Kernel exploit the idea for you is to wait and see (and to not update your firmware).

It's unfortunate that this leaked so that like 5 people can play psp ISO's. This should not have leaked and been distributed only to devs so that they can lead to many other features. Now the download of the exploitable game is even gone and almost no one can benefit. This wasn't a complete cfw so we should have let them finish it so that we could have actual vita cfw and maybe vita isos from other regions. Way to ruin it for everyone you selfish jerks.

This is a complete CFW by Total_Noob. and it was not leaked it was even had help from CB
So far it is only EU but has ISO and CSO homebrew in PSP emulator on vita might want to read a little more
go look in homebrew section and read the read me that I posted for this from the rar or even download and read it yourself

Normally, I would be al for some kind of CFW, but in this case I am kind of sadden by it. just because something can be "jailbroken" don't mean it has to be. now this system will get raped like the pep did before it even gets to reach where it could. I mean seriously hacking a new piece of hard just to play psp games that currently run on a pep 40.00 used, or run some SNES/NES rome....you have the WII, PS2, PS3, & 360

At least we know PSP Emulator is %100 real. I hope there will be another exploit found.

any idea how long this will take to be ported to the usa version of the game ?

can't be much to change for it.

also it works on 1.81 an all that is needed is urbanix correct ? and of course the cfw.

you can still get urbanix from other download sites. i'm not sure if it'll transfer or whatever.

i just rushed home to see if I could download urbanix. i couldnt use my iphone to tether wifi to my vita while at work.
came home, only urbanix available was a bundle with jewel keepers.
downloaded that. don't see urbanix in the download bubble... ..... know where i can find the game???

i just called sony, and asked them wtf for not getting the second game (urbanix) in my download. didnt get a straight answer except for we will give you a full refund...
so my purchase is going for refund review and I will be getting an email in a couple of weeks.... sucks to me. updated wanting to get urbanix and test out the CFW, and now I can't... and I lost my MHF:U VHBL capabilities. FML!

on a happier note, I now have psn store access and am downloading Chrono Cross..... still no FFV available though.
