Another non-dongle eboot, another title I have no interest in playing, damnit!

@tranced - I think some people are just repeating what was said on the source thread. There are problems with the way some people back up their games so it could just be a bad backup. Both FFXIII are buggy doing a proper backupE

Edit: I've already played this game all the way through. Chapter 3 doesn't really mean anything because of the alternate time lines and multiple locations for the same town. If somebody could pinpoint it better it would help somebody to check it

The main reason they don't tell us right away on how it's done, is because onc e the process gets leaked to everyone, it means Sony will know too. And will do what they can to fix the problem. This is the reason CFW has been at 3.55 for over a year now. Just nice to see some games come out of this.

I found out and was told that Final Fantasy for DUPLEX released doesnt have freeze or crash for Chapter 3a.

All the devs that found this "trick" till now have made their dongles for quick cash.
This is a fact.

And chinese are well known for "good business" if you know what I mean, this is why I expect to see another clone or another expensive dongle (50$ for a piece of plastic with DRM on it is expensive, this thing must be less than 2$ to manufacture).

Now, you have 3 types of devs surrounding this scene :

-The wannabees ( 13-17 years old, 3.55 clones with new themes / scripts).
-The thieves making cash on everyone by selling dongles.
-The ones looking from a distance and afraid of contributing because of Sony's lawsuits.

Like I said earlier a chip is real hardware (and usually comes with features like the 360key) and is worth its money.
A USB dongle with DRM is a scam, there is nothing on a dongle that makes it worth 50$.

The main purpose of a scene is to share.
Those peoples are making profit on it.

If peoples were smart enough to not buy this crap those assholes would be bankrupt already.
But from what I heard, they're already cruising in a Lamborghini, good job folks.

I'm speculating as a theorist here but my guess is that TB emails E3 and says if you release your hardware, before even a single dongle is sold we will put our method out for free making you obsolete and a huge loss of profit creating pointless dongles because a free method is out. Last ditch effort to protect their market.

Think of a major Linux distro. You're not paying for the software (dongle) you're paying for the support (eboots).

TB and E3 both have that threat against each other. It makes no sense for either to release their methods unless somebody like anom releases them first

Soon I will test the FF13-2 eboot with my copy and see if I can get past chapter 3. I got the game from my local shop so it is the UK version. If I am correct, UK ones are pretty much European ones and Duplex releases European versions of games so I should have the same version as Duplex.

Probably but you need to re-sign EBOOT with 3.41 keys.
