you shoud be able to select the trophy set for the game you want to delete in the trophy menu. Hit triangle then delete. If you can't do it that way, then go into your file manager and go to dev_hdd0/home, go into 00000001 (or 00000002, 00000003, etc depending on your user account) and look around until you find the trophy folder that matches the one on the game disc and delete that folder

I never understood why people used file hosts and that torrent site when USENET is a much better resource. USENET will always exist and you can spot fakes a mile away by just looking at the file size

I went in an deleted from the 00000001 location....did that days ago. But when i click on trophy collection on the xmb it comes up with lots of "missing images" things an was wanting to remove those. i no longer have those games anyway. Triangle does nothing

Same thing happens when you delete savedata from there. Savedata will let you delete the ghost icons from the XMB menu but looks like you'd have to reindex/rebuild the database to get those ghost icons to disappear. You can do that from the recovery menu but you'll lose any folders that you've created in the xmb to sort your icons out. It's a good idea to do from time to time anyway if you add/delete stuff on a regular basis to keep your PS3 running smooth

There are free binary usenet serveres. I've got 2 hooked up and get about 600kbps download/upload speed. You could get higher speeds the more free servers that you find. I would have thought that of all the free stuff everybody looks for that it's not more widely known

Can't argue with that. But for me USENET is the first place I look for anything. P2P and file hosts are an absolute last resort. Personally don't like having to enter 100 captchas, get dozens of file not found errors or seed torrents and have to use peerblock to keep unwanted people from seeing what I'm doing. Not only that but USENET and IRC are the first places anything is released. It can take weeks for some things to hit the P2P or file hosts

It isn't that I have the mantality of "must have this now". I just can't be bothered to learn about usenet. I would have to learn what client is best to use, then find decent free servers. I am just too lazy to learn all this when i get 6MB/s download speeds on torrents anyway. I probably would be using usenet if I already knew how to, but the speeds I get from torrents is good enough.

Only real guide I could give you would involve a patched copy of Newsleecher that enables unlimited searches. Can't help you with that, but I can point you to a couple free service providers that have binaries (file downloads)

XS Usenet - Free Usenet provider (one time signup)
Just4Today.NET - Free Usenet (requires you to get a new username/password every day that you need to use it)

Willkommen auf Kere.ws - a graphical search for NZB files (Usenet downloads compatible with usenet readers like newsleecher - It's german but you can go here for a translated page Google Translate)

Free binary usenet providers are hard to come by but if after checking it out and you like it XS Usenet has cheap paid access to increase your speed and retention and GigaNews is a good provider too - just more expensive but better retention

How do you get to the recovery menu and do the rebuild? And is this safe with the TB inserted? And last but not least, is it safe to use these unofficial eboots with my TB? Thanks in advance.

I've tried ripping straight from the US copy and got the "Registration of Trophy" error. Replaced the trophy folder with one found on this forum, got rid of the error and installed some data, but then just black screened. I've tried the iMARS and ViMTO rips since that didn't work and still same problems. There is a different ViMTO rip im going to try, I think someone had some success with that. Any ideas why this would be happening even with a legit US backup? I also deleted game data before every attempt too so that is not the problem. Should also mention im on TB CFWv2 with 2.51 update.
