Here at PSX-SCENE it gives us great pleasure to announce the latest updates to multiMAN/mmCM, by developer deank and Cobra Team

One of the most noticeable changes in version 04.02.00 is the TMB (Top Media Bar) display mode which replaces the old Box-Art display mode.

ATTN Theme Artists:
Please note that the new background image for this new display is TMBBG.JPG. Plus the background image for the old discontinued display of Box-Art will no longer be supported. As well as the following images:

**Plus you will be able to adjust the color for the Top Menu and Side Bars in the COLOR.INI file, so your theme will have it's own color coordination that fits best for your theme creation!

Updated Themes:
Please note that a few themes (mostly Jay-Jay's themes) have been updated to support the new display mode--you can download them via online within mmCM/multiMAN.

You can find more details below, images displaying the new display mode, along with the current download.

04.02.00 -

Added new display mode ("TMB" - Top Media Bar) to replace "Box-art" mode
Added new option in Settings - "Top Media Bar Color" to set user-defined color for top and bottom stripes in TMB mode
Added new background image in the original theme (TMBBG.JPG) for TMB display mode
Improved speed when copying files
Optimized memory usage (another 10MB of RAM available for operations)
Added support for scanning /dev_usb010 to /dev_usb099 for PSX/PS2/PS3/PSP/BD/DVD ISO files
Added four (4) new colors to SIDE/TMB color setting options and two options in COLOR.INI to set side/tmb colors from themes
Added function to "Quit to XMB" if [CIRCLE] (or [CROSS] if X/O swap is set in options) button is held pressed
Added visual slider indication when scrolling trough a lot of entries (XMMB, TMB and XBDM modes + when browsing devices)
Reminder for BD-Remote colored keys: RED - Quit, GREEN - Screen Saver, YELLOW - Restart, BLUE - To File Manager and back

i a still on a early version of multiman, the one that first introduced the Press select and X button. Don't know wich version, but i still use that. Every game that works on a 3.55 still works. Other that it is more beutifull to look at, are there any other advantages to update?

This looks basically the same as the XMMB mode. Only difference is they moved the horizontal bar closer to the top of the screen.

If you really want to know, download the file and read the changelog.txt so you know what has changed since then. (you can also find this log listed in the main multiMAN thread here in this forum).

I'll give a small tip, recent updates to this backup manager have improved and optimized the speeds of copying files back and forth--I think that ability alone would be worth the price of admission.

Plus each update includes a changelog on what has been added--there is no secrets.. just read it. Like they say in Latin America, grow some big ones and install it. And if you don't like it for some "odd" reason, uninstall it, and go back to your outdated version. You won't lose anything!

Well when it was released (dont remember anymore), I thought it was supposed to be used anytime to wanted to use the "Install PKG" or when you wanted to run a backup from MM (the normal one) which I had no problems with. However with MMCM, it just shows the Bomb guy with no loading bar when before with the normal MM, it worked perfectly.

And is everything included, i remember i had to search in the time for bdemu file. Is it included in this download?

BDEMU2 is only required for 2.09."" or older versions. For 04.00.00 and higher that is no longer required. You will have the same functionality as you had before.

I think this answers your question.

btw, dit you just edit the last post?

So if i get it right (although i thought it was only bdemu without the 2 at the end) i just have to install multiman latet version, i can use everything i could before (being on CFW kmeaw 3.55)

Just installed 04.02.00. PSX backups from CD still work. Does this update the emulators as well? If not, where can I find recent versions of each? I tried refreshing the roms, and it's not showing FBA or VBA, only GEN+, SNES, and FCEU. I've edited the options ini file to point where the roms are and they still dont show up. ALSO... Tried to load a few NES roms and I'm just getting a black screen. They work fine on the emulator when I launch it from XMB.

But they are (I think the last batch that were last updated). I think they might be due to another update soon. Keep monitoring the main multiMAN sub-forum to learn when that happens I wish squarepusher were here for that.

Could be that your modified option.ini file is outdated. Delete it and make sure you have the main one in the sys folder: BLES80608\USRDIR\sys It should be named: options_default.ini (compare them?) Then if you see some code missing then create a new options.ini file and enter the missing code (just copy and paste what's inside the default ini file). And place this new file inside the USRDIR directory.

Copy and paste your options.ini file in here to see if we can provide you support on that. Use the code brackets or zip it and use the attachment tool.

How do I change the color on the top and side bar of mmCM 4.02.00. I didn't understand the directions on the first page. Sorry.

I Still use LV2 Pacther with the last multiMan and it works fine for me... Everything works ok 100% ... So I don't understand why you say i doesn't work???

A friend of a friend setup my unit and to my surprise it has MM 1.0.1 on it??? Is it possible to just run this full install or do I need to remove the old one first? Or should I simply go into the application and select "update" from the unit directly?

Still very new so any help is greatly appreciated.

I would grab the full package, and download and install that. I am not sure if you update via multiMAN if you will be missing out on the extras the FULL version contains, such as covers.

But you should be fine just directly installing this over the old one, without the need to remove/uninstall the previous version.
