JB2USB – A New Clone Of True Blue?!?! Maybe Not???

There has been a warning spreading about this product, that it is not compatible with any of the True Blue v2.5 games.

And the clone wars begin, a while ago a team had released a dongle that would allow users of CFW to play certain PS3 games that required firmware higher than 3.55, calling themselves TrueBlue. The dongle had some competition when JB-King was released and now a new clone has hit the market retailing at $19.99, calling it JB2USB. What is your opinion or take on this device is it yet another clone, or is it the same device with a new look. Have the clone wars started yet again ? You can visit the homepage at www.jb2usb.com

can you go into Recovery Mode & if so when you select Update from USB what is the FW version that they show?

i dont have the ps3 here with me i sent it to a friend to downgrade it... i think i did everything i could so i decided to downgrade it

if it says "3.55 or higher" then your good, you could have just got a bad flash or a bad download or both

today i tried entering in factory mode and it appeared that black screen and asked me my language, time, etc....

i just tried to install the Kmeaw and it said data corrupted, i am downloadind another one....

If you can't load any backup from multiMAN then more than likely you did update to 3.65. Only option for recovery is a flasher.

Try this first - I don't know where you got kmeaw from but get 3.55.2 Rebug from REBUG 3.41.3 and 3.55.2 | Codename: REBUG and install from recovery menu. If it won't let you install that then you've got a problem. Please post step by step (even if it seems overly obvious) what you did when you got this JB2USB after you took it out of the box

Recovery Mode? also sounds as if you selected "Restore Default Settings"

It would help if he'd link exactly where he got the firmware from so it could be checked. I can see the conspiracy theories now if he did go to 3.65 from the download on the JB2USB website. My personal favorite off the top of my head is that Sony made the dongle to force/trick people into upgrading and getting $20 out of them at the same time

ok i need to know how i get in recovery menu... plus, i dunno how the hell installed the 3.65, i am going to try the rebug

then go into recovery menu (turn system off then hold the power button down til it turns on then turns back off, wait a sec then hold power button down til you get into recovery menu)

you'll hear a series of beeps as it cycles through. just don't get impatient and think it's not working

it sais that it didnt found any updates 3.65 or after so i need to downgrade

not much can be done unless you buy a flasher and downgrade or know someone that can do it for you. Where exactly did you get the firmware from? I know you can't post links - just put it like this: www(dot)so-and-so(dot)com

I found a guy that wants 50 euros for it, i know how to downgrade it but the E3 flasher is twice that price plus i only intend to downgrade it one time :S
