CFW Fix for The House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut

chnps3hax a Chinese developer has released an eboot fix for The House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut for those running custom firmware 3.41 and 3.55. This game that usually requires official firmware 3.70 has been tested for at least the first 10 minutes of play, (on 3.55.2 REBUG with multiMAN 2.09.02) however reports suggest PS Move compatibility has been compromised causing game freezes and the above only works using the US version of the game.

Well even if the move support is compromised, at least this is yet another game playable on 3.55

now im waiting on NBA 2k12, Madden 12, and WWE 12' hopefully soon? haha. MW3 would be nice too!

All of those games are better online. If I was waiting for that many games I'd stop being so cheap and get a 2nd ps3 just for psn. I'm guessing that you chose ps3 over 360 because online was free anyway seeing as all 4 of those games are multi-platform

well u can play backups online via X/bs/link/ai if they have LAN option, but only sport game i want is NHL12

why would WWE 12 be better online? that just statement just makes you sound stupid.
i can see NBA 2k12 and Madden, but i like running seasons in those. i could care less about not playing online to be honest.

not everybody wants psn, i dont, i have 2 ps3s and theyre both cfw, just in case one bites the3 dust,
so stop guessing why people chose ps3 over 360 and mind your own business smartass.

seeing this is a straight eboot swap I wonder how they cracked this then, cos im sure I read somewhere this was a 3.70 fw game.

as far as i understand the eboot is just from the chinese version and it's for 3.55, while the us release uses eboot for 3.70

This isn't a fix. A fix would have move support enabled and working. Damn eboot replacement.

You're a idiot. Not everyone can afford a second PS3 and he might of chose the PS3 over the 360 because it is a better console. Please refrain from posting before using your brain.

unless someone other than Kakaroto is working on a CFW then maybe, but if everyone is referring to Kakaroto's work there will be no backup support

i have played this game for over 2 hours through numerous levels and the move controller works fine, i am using latest rebug and latest multiman playing from external with bd mirror and disc in drive, i have had no game freezes or controller issues as stated on other sites

my guess is BD mirror is the ticket item here please report back if you do run into a problem if not then maybe the article should be updated to state that

@ everyone else when using this fix try BD mirror and report here if you have any move support problems
