PSX-SCENE Forum Discussion for Sony PlayStation/PsOne/PS2/PS3/PSP/PS VITA
  • multiMAN ver 02.07.03 UPDATE

Deank creator of multiMAN has released some more updates bringing v02.07.03 to our jailbroken PS3's. Some advancements includefaster booting, added advanced option in XMMB & fixed browsing for roms in zip format. But when it was announced that we could back up our DVD's and Blu-Ray's, most of you wanted ISO support. Well, without further ado here you go.

After many posts by deank regarding this update, here is what deank added.

    multiMAN ver 02.07.03 UPDATE (20110920-134201).pkg (1.63 MB)

    * Changed: multiMAN starts faster now
    * Fixed: Unnecessary auto-refresh/scan for content on each startup
    * Added: Advanced option in XMMB Settings:

Expand Contents of XMMB media columns
Sets whether to scan and show content in music, photo, video and retro columns.

When option is disabled, multiMAN will not scan your usb/hard drive/etc for supported files (mp3/avi/roms/etc)

You can now RIP optical discs (DVD/BD) to ISO format. The speed is good:

    6MB/s for DVD
    10MB/s for Blu-ray discs

    * Added: "Create ISO" option in SIDE menu when BD/DVD is selected in VIDEO column or PLAYSTATION2 is selected in Retro column

    * Added: "Create ISO" option in File Manager's context menu when /dev_bdvd is selected
    * Fixed: Browsing for ROMS in ZIP format

6 new labels in the language files

If only Sony would listen to their customer needs like developer Deank does.

Buy an entire new BD drive, whats the problem. If you want to give to someone your cobra for free, send it to me with fedex, i'll pay any expense for the tiny box fedex's fee.

More exellence from deank. The guy should get a Nobel Prize lol. But if he could reenable blu-ray playback for those of us early adaptors with disabled playback, I would be eternally grateful. I might even climb through his bedroom window in the wee small hours clutching a box of Milk Tray

There are so many laser and the cost is almost half a slim PS3, if you live in china or Hong Kong or even USA it's less expensive but not when you live in Sweden paying tax on tax on tax, PS3s they sell here so you get one really cheap however the parts you need to order from the outside of EU. I Bought a Laser that didn't fit, returning it I would get about 25% after the posting fees boath ways and the taxes and custom fees on the laser and the posting fees plus the post offices also takes a schunk for taking the fees from you and the state takes a tax on the chunk the postal office takes from you for taking your money and giving it to the state. You actually are paying a fee for them taking a fee from you and then you pay taxes on everything, it maybe could work with 500 lasers then the cost is spread on them all but only one laser. i asked if I would get my money back from the state but no way Jose, they don't ever check the package even with my permision so I could scrue them by returning anything like maybe my broken laser, not talking about the shop that sells me the thing since it could be a friend sending me the laser so I could scrue the state by sending the faulty laser back to my friend, that is why they never return the money they take, you could refuse to pay but then they destroy the package not even telling you what you are paying for. That is why my cobra did cost almost 100Euro because I bought it from China. Didn't even know it was the Cobra, thought it was a more expensive thing I am waiting on.

So I am not giving it away since the swedish state scrued me real god. The most expensiv place to order from is USA if you live in sweden. From USA you even have to pay if you recieve gifts, happened to me twice, they never believe the value plus they add the posting fee so you always have to pay. The most funny thing was when they made me pay for 2 of my own Swedish Blu Rays I forgot in the US and a friend send it to me. It would actually be more to buy them again locally then paying everything.

I bought the laser thingy from inside the EU, that is why it was cheap and it did fit with my laser. Just payed they guy and no one else, I am sure he buys many of those selling them on ebay, that is why it doesn't cost as mutch for him.

If you know where I can order a laser that fits to my ps 3 please help me, I have googled for days, found one inside EU but it was for slim and another in USA that was for fat but not mine. Repairing things in sweden doesn't make sense since the parts cost mutch more then the whole deal. people in sweden who repair this things buy New PS3s and take parts from them. It,s rather hard to find a fat PS3 with a prestine laser.

P.S when I said help me to find one, I ment from inside the EU and doesn't cost half a PS3 since I aready bought a slim just because of that. Would be nice to fix my fat but I don't really need another slim, I own a fat PS2 with a hardrive so those games I can play anyway. I would preefer a Fat PS3 but I already payed to mutch for it....Second time the laser breaks. The fat laser was really a peace of shit, to bad there wasn't any jail breaks back then....
