CobraUSB Decrypted Hex Dumps Released by Jaicrab

The other day, Jaicrab, famed Spanish developer, hinted that free CobraUSB functionality would be arriving soon. Today, we move a step forward towards that. Jaicrab released via his blog, two decrypted hex files, which he dumped from the CobraUSB 1.2 and 2.0. Jaicrab didn't explain if these hex files are ready to be flashed to a dongle or not. He simply stated "That is all. Enjoy". In any case, it seems we are getting extremely close to enjoying the powerful functionality of the CobraUSB dongle for free.

For those of you unfamiliar with the CobraUSB dongle, it carries some powerful features. In the latest 2.0 version, the dongle allows users to not only playback PSX ISO's, but also PS2 ISO's from their PS3's hard drive. Furthermore, the dongle allows users to play DVD and Blu-Ray ISO's from their hard drive as well.

I dont speak/read Spanish or anything... but these were just released onto Jaicrabs blog.

I think he was referring to what he already said about Cobra team using the code from the community...

Actaually the way he uses the phrase in spanish, suggests that the correct translation is: " This belongs to us all; let us enjoy". FYI.

I imagine it is more than likely because they have sold as many as they will from it, so they have made as much money as they would anyway.

Shouldn't of been released on a dongle for money in the first place.

this isn't a team cobra release, this is the culmination of one dev's work to break/crack the security measures placed on the cobra dongle, which was bound to happen sooner or later.

Now I may be wrong but, then hex and bin file are what were used to flash the AVR Keys back in the day to allow the two folder to lay back ups & install pkg, so with that could we just make a CFW with this hex now, using that CFW creator or could kemaw just update his CFW

the right translation is: "this is from all of us" or "this belongs us" or something like that. that refers that they (cobra USB) stole somethig from the scene and put it into the dongle

Awesome work! I am still waiting for the new update CFW3.55 since I pre-ordered a cobra usb form lightake for my ps3 slim. It took long time for Jaicrab hacked compatible with it. Please don't let your customers waiting so long! I am patience but my ps3 not patience!
