1) you incorrectly put a param.sfo file in your game backup folder and not in the game data folder as you were suppose to. Open the param.sfo file and if it says somewhere there as game data, then that's the reason. fix your backup and then to save yourself more trouble install the pkg file I posted on the previous page

i installed mw3 nodrm eboot n i get unsupported disk i tried to launch the game from the app home but tell my something bout video support. need some help. thanx in advance

i think you replaced the wrong files then. i think you get that error when you put an installation eboot on top of a disc eboot.

try rereading the nfo and older posts in this thread. i'm pretty sure within a page or two, you'll get some help (which really isn't that much back tracking)

I'm having problems with Call.Of.Duty.Modern.Warfare.3.EBOOT.PATCH.119.USA. PS3-N0DRM.

this is what i have done: download and install the update pkg from the link below | | https://a0.ww.np.dl.playstation.net/...S30838-ver.xml | | replace included files in /dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30838 directory.

But when i launch the game i only get a black screen. Can this be fixed ?

Same issue here, tried all the different PKG files around as well as replacing the param sfo, eboot, and self files.

Okay so i managed to fix the MW3 game by doing this:

1) Delete game data for MW3
2) install this .pkg: UP0002-BLUS30838_00-MW3P000000000120-A0120-V0120.pkg
3) set the settings in multiman to be extern and with BD mirror, and if you get a error with the BD Mirror then just delete the PS3_GAME folder in the root of your extern HDD.
4) launch game

Just install it no need to change files or delete, just run and the pkg and play.

Is that any intressed in this file?

My bad, i didn't know the xml would update with the link. I would have figured it would have listed the updates.

anyways, check out store.brewology.com. It's a great site with usually a lot of updates and demos and homebrew that is also viewable on the ps3 browser. damox.net should also have it. Beyond those two sites, idk, cause i usually don't have to look beyond the former.

OK, so im not getting " you cant play with this video settings etc." im getting , " you have to uptade to 4.10 or higher.
