If any ones interested: Making a 103 PKG install for MGS-HD_Collection

Extract ICON0.PNG from the 103 Update pkg OR DL Here
Extract all files.
Make 3 folders

Thanks Quakes69, I have been using my own scripts to package the N0DRM fixes, some work some do not. I will give your S/W a try. Thanks again.

Quakes69, quick question please. In order to make the NPDRM package the EBOOT.BIN must be an NPDRM Application and not an Application.
In your example of Metal Gear Sold HD it is an NPDRM Application EBOOT.BIN so we are OK. But in many other cases for example Final.Fantasy.XIII2, Street.Fighter.X.Tekken they are not.

When I convert the EBOOT.BIN from an Application to NPDRM Application I get mixed success. For example Street.Fighter.X.Tekken works, but Final.Fantasy.XIII2 does not.

Any ideas of what I could be doing wrong? Is there a way to package the non NPDRM EBOOT.BIN files?

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

If you read any of the NFO's that you get with the patch they state where the EBOOT.BIN is to be placed in. If it's an Update Patch then you can surely make a PKG update PATCH for it but, if it's say 1.00 then most likely it's just a patch for the Game it self and not for an Update and you'd have to transfer them via: file transfer would you not?

Now, Say you need the file structure for the Update files for a PKG install. All I did was open the Update PKG with Package view. Or you also can do it with the GUI with

Top - Select the path the PKG is in - When pkgs appear in the window Click the one you want

Check - Checked
Package.conf - UNCHECKED - IMPORTANT
File - Checked

Execute

Doesn't work on all PKG's, best to use Package view.

NFO files can be read with DAMN NFO Viewer

dang. wish i had waited til now to find out that Ace Combat was an okay game. lulz. only shame is that newer games are out, but i can't play them without finding out if they're okay.

btw, a word of notice, RAGE isn't gud for ppl and if you can't figure out how to turn off motion blur, you'll get motion sickness. i deleted that game off and gud thing i didn't pay a penny for it. only thing i need now is Dragon's Dogma and finding a copy in store.

so, do you need a spoofer to play with updated games? because i get a "please update your system" when i try to run them, some nfo's arent even fixed to 3.55 fw

i just installed kmeaw over TB cfw, maybe im missing something else.

You either need a spoofer or you need to rebuild the update pkg files with the fixed files by NODRM. Get a spoofer - it's just less hassle

i tried the spoofer, but games now either attempt to run then get error code something, or just get back at the XMB.

replacing the files isnt the same as a rebuild pkg? i still got a repacked pkg for dragon dogma but i get back at the XMB
un updated games works fine

It's one of two things. It's either a bad patch, or if you were on TB firmware before you didn't change the version in the PARAM.SFO for your disc backup back to 01.00. TB changes it to 50.00 or 99.99

What game are you trying to play?

tried Dark souls update, Dragon dogma update, Ace Combat update.

do the original eboot and param.nfo has anything to do with the game starting up? i thought it used the update ones instead
