Well this was but utterly f'ing annoying. I just went thru and updated 4 games with these fixes and it broke every single one of them. I was trying to update Skyrim, FF13-2, Street Fighter X Tekken, and SSX.

Is there a trick to getting NODRM's updates to work correctly? Do they require a spoof or something? I read the NFO file that came with it and followed it to the T. Installed the official Sony update, then swapped his Eboots and Params in the appropriate GAME data folder for all 4 fixes. Every single one that I patched this way just keeps throwing me the "must update to 4.00 or such" error now. I went thru and deleted all these updates so the games work again but I really would like to get these updates working.

Any ideas? I have been patching games since the first dongles came out so I am definitely not a noob at this. Any help will be appreciated.

not really my day, that's the second armored core V patch and still not a US version. now i feel like a wasted money on my retail disc wihich is a US version.

well at least i can still play in dex regarding the difficulty and requirements and limitations it needed for it to run.

The issue is that just copying the param.sfo files (with the lower firmware version) onto the internal Hard Drive(HD) does not update the PS3 database(DB). The HD and the DB are normally updated together when you install a retail pkg file. So what is happening is the PS3 is looking at its DB and seeing the param.sfo from the retail update and not the modified version that is on the HD.

There are 3 solutions that I know of to this issue:

1) Rebuild the PS3 database after you copy over the param.sfo. There are lots of instructions out there on how to do this.
2) Build a pkg file containing the patch and the param.sfo. This has been done earlier on in this thread by others for SSX. I have looking into doing this and the issue is that the N0DRM EBOOT.BIN files are not NPDRM eboots. My understanding is that you have to convert them into NPDRM eboots, before you can add then to a NPDRM pkg file. I gave up on this for now as am still using TB which has a spoofer.
3) Run a F/W version spoofer.

This is strange that NODRM is releasing these fixes that aren't ready to play with and they are all being uploaded to the scene sites as fixes as is . I mean its great that hes doing this none the less but it would be nice if they were patched then repackaged into an installable PKG file.

What's the point cracking TB patches & games? They are nice and all, but we also want NEW stuff! What if TB never release any shit anymore? What you guys will crack if nothing new is there anymore?

all i wanted was tekken tag 2 and sadly that seems like it's not going to happen any time soon. so i bought a new 320gig ps3 just so i can play this game on the 11'th. guess i'm set for gta5 now too.

there won't be fixes for new games until most of the old TB and old unpatched 3.60+ games are patched or unless the really liked the new games and made a fix for that.

TB never realeses game pathes now and the patches now that are being released ight be alreadey released by TB but they are game update patches that are higher and not made available and hacked by TB and some of those game patches require 4.XX that's a good sign

man some of these people on here can never be happy, they dont see that there almost everyday or every other day a patch or two are release with let you play game which you couldnt before unless you buy it or something. there are people who working there hardest to make patches so we can play the game but these other selfish dont say thanks but complain saying we want newer games or i wanted this game not that game, all i gotta say that bitch shut up and be happy with what you get for free or go pay for something that you want. to all that people release these patches i want to say thank you.

@racco: I'm happy and have TB, but what is left once all of them (released by TB) are cracked? Will we ever see new games coming (not from TB) ? THIS is my concern.

i didn't have any problems playing these games before nodrm cracked the patches, the problem is that true blue won't release any more patches now. i'm happy for you guys who didn't buy a tb and can now play some of the games you couldn't before but, until the way that true blue (paradox) created the patches in the first place is released everyone is stuck. i got my 50 bucks worth already though so i'm good.

what are you doing to help? it seems like only TB owners are really complaining about this certainly awesome situation. There are games not cracked by TB, updates not cracked by TB and games that are cracked by TB being released.
What's stopping TB from releasing new games other than themselves not being able to solely profit?
n0drm is probably trying to get every TB game out of the way, add a few new patches, then will probably work on harder stuff (newer games) for everyone to enjoy.

I'm a TB owner and a couple things come to mind. Take it or leave it

1) TB stopped making patches several months ago even before 3.60 keys came out and before NODRM. As of right now they are DEAD but you can't blame that on anybody else
2) Every single one of my TB only games are fixed for regular CFW
3) They're releasing game updates that allow for additional content that TB never saw a reason to be bothered with
4) There's a lot of info that isn't public. Short answer is they're running through the old game list before going to the new stuff

Yeah it works. The BLUS version got a game update recently. If you have the BLES version like I do, just change the GAME ID to the BLUS one and install the BLUS update
