Vertical or Horizontal ????

Which way is better for your PS2? I have mine vertical.

it doesn't really matter, but most people will tell you that horizontal is better. The laser does seem to read discs better when the ps2 is horizontal though.

in game store chat:...whatever way you initially place the PS2 out of the box is the way you shoud keep it, i.e. dont't keep changing the vertical to horizontal....and horizontal to vertical....just overheard this and decided to pass it on as a opinion....i may answer some questions.

i keep mine hor. but mine reads disks better if it is vertical, but for some reason it also scratches my games sometimes when it is vertical :(

well cause in vert mode it tends to use more power

I'd recommend horizontal. While mine does read better vertical ( ive had it that way forever..) I've been keeping it horz as the laser has begun to wear out. Also it scratches more vertically. Plus, keeping it horizontally is physically better for the system, no gravity to worky against when spinng or have the parts move.
