Charlie/anyone...v8 ps2/ m2pro v1.30 problem...?

Hi guys...

Could someone please shed some light on this...

I installed a v1.22 m2 pro in a v8 (go22) ps2....not realising that it needed a v1.30.

Then I took out the 1.22 and installed the 1.30...

Then the first time I tried a ps2 and ps1 backup and they both worked fine...

Then I tried a local region dvd movie and "disc read error" is the
message I got.I tried turning the chip off(ie reset 5 seconds)...but still no good...?

So I tried the backups again and now they wont boot either...?

Is this because I installed the 1.22 chip first....?

(I'm a veteran installer all conections seem ok)
Has anyone else had this problem...
any solutuions greatly appreciated....

P.s just to let you know mods...this is the second time I'm sending this reply...seems like board is experiencing problems.

All is o.k now....
Took of 3.5 +gnd wires re-booted...then reconnected.

Don't ask me why ....didn't seem to like the power leads to be connected first?
