We are talking about the reliability of:

· Booting PS2 and PSone RIPS
· The Mod
· Silkiness of Mod chip operation
· Features
· Easiest Installation
· Durability
· Generally all the good stuff

It would be really good to see what a lot of the people on the forum have to say about the Mod chips out there? Everyone?s view is important?

Magic 3.1, Magic Blue, Mini 2.0, Messiah 1, Messiah 2 Pro / Messiah 2 Eur/USA, Apple, DMS 3, NEO Key, NEO, Accessor

If you have very strong feelings regarding a Mod chip you don?t feel is up to scratch please also say what you feel is the WORST Mod by writting in this thread?

I don't Know much about the Worst Mod as I havnt had any bad experiences but let me know what your experiences are???

Although I heard Magic 3.1 had only a 80% boot up reliability...

God I hate to say it........but it's given me no problems....DVD9's, all DVD and CD backups (don't do rips since I got an A04).....but what about the no-solder plug mods?

OK STOP LAUGHING GUYS!!!!!

It was my first mod, over (yikes) a year ago. Now that I've got a set of Swap Magics, I only have to use the GS2 when I get towards the end of my >4.35GB DVD backups.

Works perfect for what I play--and only cost me $10 since I already had a GS2....but the SwapMagix did set me back $20, so about the same as a Magic/clone in the long run I guess...but no booting problems for me so far.

Yes you really need to include Apple Pro in that list as it sits above the Messiah2 V1.3 due to it being of the same feature set and reliability but cheaper in price.

DMS3 will however always kick ass in features - but one needs deep pockets to be able to afford!

there is NO better modchip than the DMS3... it's followed either by the Messiah2 or the Apple Pro

DMS3 is cool, but until the makers fix all the bugs, Messiah 2 gets my vote!

DMS3 is the #1 chip hands down!! The Messiah 2 and the Apple pro are next. I would put the apple pro above the messiah 2 because it has the same features, less wires, and is cheaper.
