ps2 sparks

can some one tell me if its a bad wire or something ok i was just playing nba live 2003 online and i notice down were the hdd would go a spark and then i seen a spark then my game frozze could it be bad wiring or something i have the neo 2.2 but i just got the magic 3.1 so just want to know so if its the chip i will take it out

dude, i wouldnt know much bout any mod chip business, but i can safely say that u probably wired it wrong if there are sparks flyin and your game freezes, this is why i dont have a modchip yet, because i dont wanna fuck up my ps2.

cover your conntections with eletrical tape

it's an orange surface mount led on the mboard you are seeing flashing for online activity not a spark your modchip is fine.

I really doubt there is anyway you could mis-wire your mod and cause sparks with the unit starting up in any way shape or form. If it was that jacked up that it was gonna spark it would be most likely from the power supply getting messed up, not the motherboard. You would smell the sweet smell of burning conductor long before sparks and like I said, the unit wouldn't have worked in the first place.
If your concerned about smoking your own PS2 I recommend sending it out for installation.
