Can Naplink be used to test backups?

Is it possible to use Naplink to boot backups stored on a PC?
This would be great to test DVD-Rips.

I have attempted it myself, with no joy.
I edited a few SLES files by exchanging "cdrom0:\" with "host:"
but this didn't work (it was a lame attempt, I know).
Some SLES's did seem to get further than others though. (Some began to load via Naplink, but never actually fired up the backup)

Anyone got any info?

it wont work. the info has to be encoded in the slus/elf

this will never work...most games use synchronization while loading stuff...naplink is by far too slow for that...
the other thing is that games directly access the dvd drive so no luck here either ;)
