I'm about to step into the light and have Questions

So I bought a Pioneer DVD-A04 ($265, Pricewatch) and the XBox and Nova PS2 modchips from GameGizmo.com. I've yet to receive them and am merely working on finding someone to solder them for me.
As I wait, I am reading the Tutorials on installation and preparing a installation kit to put on a disk to whoever it is that will install this for me.
GameGizmo has some excellent photos illustrating how to solder the XBox chip (the Enigmah), but the Nova chip diagrams don't seem to make sense.
Also, in all diagrams shown, sure, the soldering points are shown, but what about the modchip itself? Is it soldered anywhere or left floating in there, dangling by the wires connected to it?

i hope you know that the xbox games need pacting when you are going to make copies

also if you going to install the nova chip, it has to sit in a clear place, theres are places on the board where is a clear surface just use 2 sided tape it should hold that sucker down.

My first game I intend to backup is Medal of Honor, as I have it right here waiting. Hmm... while I'm asking questions, should I use Nero, CloneCD, or PrimoDVD to burn the 1:1 copy? I've heard CloneCD is best, but I'm a newbie.

sorry for that miss type i ment you need to patch the xbox games
if you want to make 1:1 copy

if you wanna burn games use Primo, ive never used clone cd to burn dvdr
i only use it for cdr's

so stck with primo:cool:

ive got gear pro dvd v6 mastering edition, and this is mega for doing backups, but i didnt think clonecd did dvd''rs i know it used the pioneer dvdr drives but only to do cdr's.
