This is a call for any repairmen/woman out there willing to work on a non-working PS2.

Playstation 2 Fatboy
Version:SCPH-5001 Version 9/10
Modchip Installed:Matrix Infinity (Pretty Sure it is not a clone)
Modchip Installation:I did not install it I sent it out to some Luigi similar like avatar name, guy from out of state.
Hard Drive: Maxtor 200GB
Software Used: Independent Exploit 3.4 w/HD Loader loaded from a CD
Issue: I travel by car alot from Orlando to South FL. And I carry my PS2 with me using a specialty bag I got from Gamestop. After one of my trips I noticed that the PS2 was not able to play my Backup PSX/PS2 Games and not able to run the Exploit CD. However it was able to play Original PSX/PS2 games.I thought maybe one of the wires inside might have came undone. So I went ahead and opened up the PS2 and tried to see if I could resolder the wire that probably came undone back to the motherboard. I came across some problems
*I chipped some of the plastic on the Fan Header Plug
*I cleaned the Laser Lens which maybe the reason it wont read anything now
*Was not able to remove one of the precision screws on the Main Shield holding the motherboard down

I tried to put everything back 2gether but the problem got worse. It was able to power on and no noises I could hear but now it won't read anything at all CD/DVD's nothing just sits there acting like its trying to read the disc

Help Please Help Please
Let me know if anyone on here can:
*Diagnose this problem
*Resolder the Modchip if necessary
*Execute a simpler method for me to run my Backups without loading from a Exploit Cd everytime

If so I pay well with Paypal or Money Order :D

If you look up my previous post I had a PS2 that was having issues so
I bought a Version 10 PS2 to start over.
My previous setup was a
PS2 modded with a Matrix Infinity Modchip and a HDD installed
I would be able to play backups from the discs directly (Mainly PSX Games and then use an exploit CD to run the HDLoader program.
Is there anyone on here that can mod my PS2 that lives in the U.S. and make a simple setup I'm not really feeling the swap discs procedure.
I would be able to pay with Paypal.

For future reference, you probably shouldn't try cleaning the laser lens. I tried cleaning one before with Q-Tip and rubbing alcohol as I read in some guide. The problem went from bad to totally boned really quick.

If you want to play burned PS1 games without any swapping trickery, you should get a modded PS1. The PS2 you can use FreeMCBoot with ESR to direct boot burns. If you need a modded PS1 talk to me through private messages. Maybe we could work something out.

But I am trying to get the FreMCBoot to work but it is telling me that it cannot find the boot.elf and us. files even though the extensions are in capitals???
