mcboot help

ok guys bootleg ninja told me to install mcboot on my memory card. I have a ps2 slim v16 model number 790001, and a brother in law with a fat model number scph-390001 neither are modded and if i have to i can use his. now what i need is a install mcboot for retard Manuel pretty much iv been on the web for the last 4 days looking and nothing i dont have ule i have just a non specail 8mb sony card. so if some one could help me out tell me how to do it and what ill need. oh i also have swap magic 3.8 coder and my bro has 3.6 plus so if some one could help that would be very awsome. if u got any questions i didnt answer feel free to message me.

Not to install it, but it is advised that you use uLE as your BOOT.ELF once FMCB is installed.

this is what im talking about i dont get it at all do i need ule to install or any other program if so how do install that first. so i have no idea how to do it. like i said i realy do need a guide for retards

A guide for what? the actual install for FMCB? Like I've said in many other posts, its not going to happen until the installer has a standardized process that it follows. Until then you have to feel your way around. But even at that rate, the installer is still extremely simple to use.

If you're talking about simplifying the installer booting tutorials even more, it can't happen since I've made sure that they've hit rock bottom on simplicity.

Honestly, your request need more explanation on it's true point.

ok i got a normal 8mb sony card. without ule. my question is how do i get fmcb on my card with ule since u need ule to read the elf file thats what i want to know

I've clearly laid it out on how to install FMCB in the tutorials.

the swapmagic method doesn't even use uLE to install FMCB

The codebreaker method has all required files and tells when to install what where.

Action replay method doesn't use uLE to install FMCB either.

Too install FMCB just follow the uber simple swapmagic guide.

Once FMCB is installed, copy uLE (BOOT.ELF) to a folder on your USB stick (BOOT)
When that is done, on startup and the USB stick plugged into your system, you can boot directly to uLaunchELF instead of the Sony Brower Menu providing you press and hold a predefined button as described by the readme in the zip file that you extracted the FMCB installer from.

I can't make it any more simple than that.

1. what exactly does fmcb do?
2. how do i install other things such as psx loader?
3. how do i operate fmcb?
4.how do i change the background?
5. will u link me all the websites to answer all these questions?

the tutorials link to download pages to get the FMCB installer. Please read the tutorial carefully.

It is basicly an exploit to allow the user (you) to run unsigned homebrew software to run on your unmodified playstation 2.

don't worry about this yet. you're trying to run before you can walk. I suggest you take some time to orientate yourself with uLaunchELF first. That homebrew software is one of the most important ones since it can launch other programs and manage files on your connected storage medias.

3. how do i operate fmcb?

once installed. insert your memory card, hold a predefinded button (according to the readme) and power your system up. quite simple.

4.how do i change the background?

again. don't worry about this yet. you're trying to run before you can walk.

1st.: Read (&follow) the Easy-Installer-Readme
2nd.: Read the readmes from other apps, if you want to use it

The file is an ELF "INSTALLER.ELF".

You also can try this,...

Remove the ".rar" from the filename-ending (it is an Iso, but renamed).
Use this Mode 2 Level 1 ISO and use a burning-program, which can burn IMAGEs to Discs.
I didn't tried it.
Installer is renamed to INSTALL.ELF and no readme there,...
But it should start and work,...
Use Swap-Method, from CD --> CD-R, or use a modchip.
