Here are instructions on how to get ESR to boot totally automatically without the need for Ulaunch or holding any buttons on the controller... Here's what it will do after you are done installing. Turn on the PS2 with the backup in the drive, the screen will change colors as ESR takes over, and the games starts... All automatically, like it's an original disc (except its faster than the normal PS2 boot sequence lol).
---------------------
After installing FMCB and Ulaunch:
Using Ulaunch, delete the mcX:/SYS-CONF/FREEMCB.CNF
Now copy/rename the ESR ELF file to BOOT/BOOT.ELF
Now FMCB boots up, and it executes BOOT/BOOT.ELF (which is ESR) and it proceeds to boot the PS2 backup.
ULaunch is only needed to copy/rename/delete the files to get this setup.
I know this is pretty obvious for many of you, but I see countless threads where people are telling others that ULaunch is necessary to run ESR (each time they boot a backup) and it's not.
