Yep.

can't. It doesn't exist yet.

i want to mod my ps2 only got the following items:

PS2 fat (old)

ps1 games

usb pen drive

and
codebreaker

when I get around to it, I will create install tutorials based on Codebreaker and action replay max

i no this should be possible.

You mean "I know this should be possible." and yes it is. but I need some time to create tutorials. I'm off thursday and friday this week from work and I will create the tutorials then since I need a lot of time to create, review edit, and publish a good one.

AND PLZ TRY TO BE NOOB FRIENDLY:rant:

I take great pains into making my tutorials n00b friendly. I feel rather insulted by that comment.

Also, I'll be creating 4 tutorials on this. Here's the work in progress with my table of contents. Upon completion, I'll be asking several bilingual users if they can translate the tutorials to various languages such as German, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and possibly a few more. Once done, all tutorials will be stored together in my subdomain at sksapps.

Table of Contents

Installation using Action Replay Max
English Tutorial

Installation using Codebreaker (8.1 or newer)
English Tutorial

Installation using the Independence Exploit (or older Version of Free MC Boot)
English Tutorial

Installation using Swapmagic

I assume your tutorials consist on making the mc files with embed 1.3 using the latest loader from freemcboot and the 75kb dvdelfs, then creating a save file for the program which will make the update?

This for the ar and cb, other two tutorials may just be a matter of running the installer elf right?

Just curious about it.

Just the opposite. They will cover installation of the regular Free MC Boot since there's a growing number of n00bs that can't figure it out. It will help eliminate a lot of the "how do I install this" threads and let people concentrate on experementing on homebrew versus struggling to get it up and running.

On top of that, it would be suicide on my part to start n00bs in advanced homebrew for their first task.

Bootlegninja,

Thanks a lot for putting the effort into making those tutorials! I am admittedly new to the whole concept of software mods myself. I am buying a CodeBreaker 10 today and am going to start fooling around. I'll check back to see when your tutorial is done and try to get my setup working..

Thanks in advance,

Hey Illuvatar, do I know you from Kotaku?

Nope, sorry it's a commonly used handle. It's the Elven name of the creator/god character from Tolkien's Middle Earth universe. "In the beginning there was Eru, The One, whom to the Elves was known as Illuvatar." Ok, enough Tolkien lessons nice meeting you though O.o

I just wanted to point out to anybody that was waiting for this tutorial that Bootlegninja has it up at http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmcb/

Also please note the message at the top of the page about new PS2s model 75001 and higher. Information about compatibility issues can be found at
