cant install on a dms4 se pro ps2

i have a dms4 se pro with toxic os, i been launching the installation elf from the toxicos menu and from just about any other elf that can launch other elf
but when i press the X to start the installation, it hangs after

Preparing card file... Complete



then it stops after that and wont go any further
trying to install 1.2c
fat ps2 v5-v6 30001 NTSC 200GB hdd (DEAD DVD DRIVE)

any help would be appreciated

you must disable toxicos and use ps1 exploit to boot to ule and launch the elf..the modchip interferes with MCBOOT..

Oh well, ill just have to wait and do it on other ps2, mines have a dead dvd drive.

just tried it myself yesterday and disabling the chip did the trick...
