i followed a pdf to install ydl on my 60 gig.. i get as far as the kboot command line, where i hit tab til i get the install option, and hit enter, but it doesnt work. i get some sort of "not detected error" or something of the sort. i burned the iso of ydl 6.0 from here on verbatum, and i also got the otheros.elf from here as well. does it have something to do with me having recent firmware or is it another issue?

It's a bit hard to diagnose boot problems without the exact text of the error (or something very close to it).

"usr" (better "/usr") is a system dir, but you don't give enough clues.

no other clues to give. thats all that it said, and thats exactly how it happened. installed, went to boot, then got that error
