ELF to play other region dvd's & fix RGB green screen?

Hello,

I'm planning to do the independence exploit on my PAL v7 PS2. One thing I'd like to do is fix the rgb green screen problem and play region 1 DVDs. So far the only program I can find that seems to do this is MCloader or the DVD Region X disc. I'd prefer to use uLaunchELF as my ELF manager, is there a better solution than MCloader out there for watching DVDs on the PS2?

The RGB green screen problem can be fixed with a decent cable - I use this (http://www.futuremax.nl/product_info.php?products_id=204&language=nl) one myself.

Concerning your region blight - I have the same problem: where to get a .elf that kills off the region protection?

I think all that those cables do is switch the scart from RGB to composite mode for when you're watching a DVD - colour accuracy returns but the overall picture quality is worse than a properly fixed RGB signal.

Does anyone know if SMS will play dvd's from any region?

try this load it in ulaunchelf and it will go to the ps2 browser swap your trigger disc with a dvd by pressing eject and it will work

i'm not sure u can try it i didn't make the elf i found it somewhere a couple years ago i dont think thats the proper name for it either i just named it that in my ulaunchelf

HI i have PAL ps2 when i run your region free elf it goes back to the PS2 menu. When i eject and place a dvd from another region, it says that the disc is from the wrong region. Any ideas?

I have e pal region 2 ps2 and when i run the elf that was posted it returns to the ps2 browser and when i put the region1 dvd in it just gets stuck on the "reading" part.

the dvd im trying to plays is a ntfs region1.

i use UlaE and i have run the posted ELF from a Usb hard drive and from the memcard with the same result

DVD region free is included in uLaunchElf v4.12plus, a special edition made by hackship, go on psx-station.net
