Add-on controllers almost always fail and the same would go for a Wiimote clone. The only reason Nintendo's idea is a good one is that the controller comes with the system and everyone has one. Making a PS3 Wiimote-like addon would fail because developers would be afraid to support it because nobody had one. Nobody would buy one because developers don't make games for it. This always happens with add-on controllers.
