PS3 game saves

The PS3 isn't out in the UK yet, nor am I likely to get one on first release so could someone answer a few questions for me?

PS3 game saves, are they stored on the hard drive?
Are they accessable when using Linux as the OtherOS?
Any way to transfer them to the PC yet? If so I'd appreciate a few being sent my way to look at :)

You can copy them to a usb device or a memory stick, etc.

Send me a PM I will figure out some way to get you a few saves.
I have played RR7, Dark Kingdom, NFS Carbon, and Resistance so I think I have a few saves I can pull off the HDD to a USB drive and send to you somehow(e-mail, ftp, etc..).

I will pull them off tonight when I get home.
