PS3 question

i thinking in trying to get a ps3 over the US, i live in europe spain. if ever lucky enought to find one. heres my question.

is it region encoded, will i be able to play games, and bluerays from europe??

i mean with 720p, 1080i and 1080p. (i use a 1080i projector, that also supports pal and ntsc) i will have no problem with that, my fear is region encoding games and movies. has anyone tested this?

Mine is not region locked but ONLY on PS3 titles. PS2 & PS1 & DVD's ARE region locked. It support HDMI upto 1080p

What i've read, USA and Japan are region 1, Europe is region 2 for bluray. PS3 games are potentially region free (not clear if is a choice of producer), for sure not PS2 games. I could be wrong...
