That's qemu, not vmware.
It would be faster to run WinXP for CELL
I assume IBM has a special version of WinXP for that purpose.

I assume IBM has a special version of WinXP for that purpose.I've never heard of such a thing, and I don't see why they would bother.
IBM have WinXP PPC at least...
I'm really curious about MacOS X

Win XP for PPC?
PPC Support was dropped after NT4.0 (same as for Alpha and MIPS).
There is no Win XP for PPC.
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_NT#Supported_platforms
QEMU is a processor emulator which can (among others) simulate X86 processors (including whole systems with peripherals).
http://www.qemu.com/about.html
That's the "trick" that is used in this case.

I think this is actually really cool. I'd be laughing my ass off if someone tryied to put vista on there. seeing as visa is a resource hog as it is. LOL (i hope no one tries vista...) Mac osx would be interesting as well.

Mac-on-Linux (http://maconlinux.org/) is a linux/ppc program which makes it possible to run Mac OS in parallel with Linux.
