I wasnt able to try hdloader but I tried the Sony Official hard drive disk and it said no hard drive detected.:(
No matter how you try it you need to patch the interface to the harddisk.

Hard drive dependent games such as Final Fantasy XI are planned to be made compatible in future firmware updates. Hopefully by then, progress can be made with HDL on the PS3 and we can access the PS2 partition of a PS3 drive with winhiip.

its possible in the near future besides the processor of ps3 are not made for gaming, its made for running multiple OS, and also if linux are installed on ps3 why not using pcsx2 emulation on it.

Guys get real ... Do you really think they (Sony) will allow you to run HDLoader on the Playstation 3 ? Probably it has software (or hardware) to detect and make it unable to work with HDLoader...
PS3 does not have any HDLoader discrimination.

Have you tried it? I wanna hear from somone who's actually tried it, I know the hard drive won't be recognized but it's a big step forward if the original HDL will actually run. eventhough it might need to be re written that could mean the $ony didn't do too much to try to stop it.

i put the pressed hdl in my ps3 and hd tells me that hdloader is not compatible with my ps2 modle
The only thing that should have to be changed is the location of the HDD,
but then again, there might chances of the application having to run in Level-0,
not Level-1 as PS1, 2 and 3 games do...
However HDLoader is probably based on an existing game.

HDL was based on the Crazy Taxi disc, if I remember correctly.
But does CrazyTaxi use the HDD?
Problem here is to describe mountpoint to the PS3, the PS3 way, new hardware... SATA instead of ide.
HDL was based on the Crazy Taxi disc, if I remember correctly.
It was somewhat related to it. I think it was like pressed from those disc.
