PAL movies on USA modded ps2

I've read the posts in this forum and I just want to understand: is there any way to play PAL DVD movies on a modded USA machine? (What is Region X?)

as far as i know it doesn't work due to hardware problems with the pal signal.
but you could download ar max evo somewhere and try the region player
which is very neat (even so i doubt it'll work out).

Region X being an app that allows playback of DVD movies from regions other than your own in colour, as if it were a DVD from your own region.

yes, it is a region x player which is implemented in AR MAX EVO.
you can choose the region which you want to play on your PS2.

i tried different kinds of software solutions to play NTSC movies on
my PAL PS2 and the one which works best was ar max evo.
there are also some region players in elf format, but they didn't work for me.

i also have a v4 ntsc ps2, but i didn't try to play pal movies on it, because
it reads only cd.
