Pal DVD movies on a NTSC PS2 ver 12 moded with Modbo 4.0 ... can this work ?

I just moded a PS2 slim ver 12 USA with Modbo 4.0 and the backup gamesc works just fine. But when I insert a backup DVD that my Panasaonic DVD player read, on the PS2 I get this message:
TV system doesen't match.
Can some one explain me if I can play PAL dvd movies on this moded PS2 ?

Use DVD Region X to play movies from a region other than your own.

yes you can play ANY region movies with ur modchip...modbo 4.0 is a matrix infinity clone....

so just press Triangle + Circle when u power on the PS2...
You should be at the modchip config menu..
There u can change the region of ur PS2...

But some clone chips get fried when you enter the config menu...so beware..

I have a modbo 3...which the menu works fine...i think the chip getting fried problem was only until modbo 1.2

As for the modbo series... Theyre all Matrix Infinity pirated clones...
The modbo 1.2 and modbo 3.0 are the "Original" clones.
Then there are modbo 2.0, 2.1 and 4.0, modbo 750 etc......they are clones of the clones...made by another company..

The "Original" Clones has had the chip getting fried problem fixed with the release of modbo 3.0

But i dont know about the clone clones...

I thought ntsc ps2 can't play pal dvds because of some problems with the frame buffer?

matrix infinity lets you force an output mode such as PAL or NTSC...
so just force the video output mode to PAL.
then change the region according ur movie.
