play dvd video on unmoded pstwo(silver)

Hi,

I've a pstwo slim (silver) and I want to play backup video dvds.
my console is unmoded. I use swapmagic to play game backups and other software (like sms and myps2) to play divx, etc...
anyone can tell me If I could play this video dvds with a special software???:-pray:

if your talking about copied dvd movies, such as Shaun of the dead, it will work. I play copied movies all the time.

if you're talking about copied dvd's you can use the great program dvd decryptor and select mode as iso read to create an iso image of the dvd you want to copy. Once it creates an iso image of the movie, you can use dvd decryptor And change mode to iso write and find and select the iso that was just created and start it. This will burn a iso image to a dvd that the ps2 can read. Also be careful what discs you use, if your ps2 is an older ps2 that cME OUT AT LAUNCH IT MIGHT ONLY READ DVD-R DISCS BUT MOST NEWER ones read dvd+r discs. This what i use and works perfectly. The brand also makes a difference and the ps2's sensetive laser might not read some cheap brand dvd's so try to use sony, maxxell or other better known brands instead of staples brand.

Yea that is true, but with movies most are 7 gb. and single layer dvds are 4.7, Use dvd shrink.

The combination of anydvd (decryption, region free etc) and clonedvd, is good for making backups of movies, they will play on a ps2 (yes Ive done it) and clone dvd will transcode a dvd-9 to dvd-5, also allow you to do main movie only or remove audio streams to improve picture qauality too.
