Magic3 & DVD game Freezing solved !

Here is the modified code for DVD freezing problem.
Tested on V3 pal work 100% .
A little insucces loading game with AR2 or AR2 dongle inserted ,
so remove it if not used ( think it is a timing problem ).

Hi! Same problems that I have with rce 0.785 "official". My V7 060 ps2 when I try to boot give me the "PlayStation2 Disk" screen, with gold/blue disk on center. :-(( still no full_sleep works on my v7.

This hex file what exactly fix?
If I flash with this hex my homebrew magic3 mod chip the problem that freeze while I am playing stop or again I have the same problem
And one more question what version of board I have my code is sph39004

This Hex is supposed to fix the freezing issue. If the problem is caused by a spike on the Z line, then this modified Hex will check the Z line twice to see if the Logic is genuine or a spike. I'll try it on a V7 tomorrow, I have a ZIF socket so it should only take a couple of mins.

when you test hex code to v7 board please let me know how it is work can you told me how I create hex file from zip file and in what game ps2 freeze i ask that because i want to test my ps2 and give a replay for help

A note to all you :
my modified code assure DVD not freezing after booting , but remember that check of Z line is done everywhere in the code , so
you can get not 100% boot success.If boot then dvd not freeze at all.
If you use capacitor beetwen GND & Z line , boot succes will improve ( tested) up to 100% and not freeze also with original r16 code !.
Also note that boot success decrease if u use AR2 or let AR2 dongle inserted ( also with r16 original code) . Think PS2 bios try to check what's inserted so create a delay and chip can't syncronize with bios. Modifing DELAY3SEC & DELAY2SEC will improve boot success ( try if u want ). What do u think about it ???.
I'm now working at this problem , then add al this to r16 original code .

You have to unzip the rce0785n files into a folder with the tools.zip files(posted earlier in the first thread). Edit the define.inc file to you requirements (full sleep, model version), then run Make. This creates a hex (amongst others).

Open define.inc with wordpad or something similar. Then uncomment (remove the ; symbol) from the beginning of the line prior to your model, ensure the other models have the ; symbol still there. Save the file, then run 'MAKE'. etc etc

You need a programmer and a SX28 IC, then you make your own homebrew Magic3...

I have try this hex file and work good I can play ps2/backup games/dvd/ps1.
But some times playstation freezing black screen and I must power it off with 220v switch
Dvd play very good without freezing but for 100%succest you must power on ps2 without cd/dvd in tray wait for broswer screen and after that press eject and insert dvd and have fun.

Some times after ps2 game I try to load different game without turn ps2 in standby only with single reset and work perfect
The same with happening with dvd after dvd movie I load game with single reset
In previous hex file original this dont happening always I must turn in standby mode
I have v7 board sph39004
HEX file can be found it in thread Blackcats code results??

I canot open rce0785.zip file when I extrack the files have only 2kb so I canot run makefile I use winrar 3,1
