How to change uLaunchElf font?

sorry if this has been discussed before i had a search but couldnt find anything on the subject.

with the recent skin support and higher resolution that has been added to this great program it has never looked better when you apply a nice skin to it, but i was wondering if there is also a way to change the font so we can customize it a bit more?.

No, I don't think so.

The kind of appearance improvement you're looking for will inevitably demand a larger font size than what we currently use, and that could completely mess up all our menu screen layouts. Just look at the difference we get in the filebrowser when switching to title display with the ELISA100 font. This is just two pixels higher than the regular one, but the browser shrinks from 26 to 23 rows (PAL), or from 22 to 19 rows (NTSC).

Using a font of such size in the browser is one thing, but using it for the present GUI is impossible. That would mess up everything.

Implementing replaceable fonts limited to exactly the same size would probably not give the visual improvements you seek, so I think it's not worth doing.

Thanks for the detailed reply dlanor as it stands the current font is fine for me but i was sure i had seen a screenshot of someones ULE with a different font and that was why i asked (maybe it was a dream lol)

Is this (http://www.ps2-scene.org/forums/showthread.php?t=40179) the thread you saw the screenshot with the different font?
If so, than that "screenshot" is actually a picture made with photoshop, as you can read in this post (http://www.ps2-scene.org/forums/showpost.php?p=313529&postcount=33).
