newbie and need info on how back up ps2 dvd games.

i have been looking for software to make ps2 games but the software is just for the cd-rom format games. i make dvd back up movies all the time and i have all kinds of ripping tools and decoders, etc. So i figured that maybe it is the same kind of process. So i need help please!

i have a mod chip that friend of mine put in for me. he has about 300 games all on cd-r that are dvd games. he even got games for me that were not even out yet. (japanese versions also) But now we don't really talk anymore so i wanted to start making them myself. basically the games are compressed to fit on one disk.

i want to ask yall is there a playstation 2 boot disc i can download or anything can some one tell me where can i get it or if anyone you can send it to me and that works too
