I having a new Pstwo v13 modded with matrix infinity 1.4 *clone* (in my country we only have clone chip), I have a DVD burner LG 4160B and burn all of my Divx AVI using DVD+R and Ahead Nero.

The problem is that when I use CD-R with AVI, SMS can detect the movie and play it well, but I cant seems to make any of my DVD+R work on SMS. But when I use SMS to browse DVD Movie, it can detect and read all the files.

Is it my LG burner not compatible with ps2? Because it doesnt have booktype? Or is it my DVD media code having problem with ps2? I'm using Taiyo Yuden. Thanks. ;)

Are you following the instructions in the user manual? Check this page:

You need to create a DVDR that looks enough like a regular DVDvideo disc before the PS2/PStwo will accept it. (i.e. you need the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS parts filled with appropriate files - see the link above). Also (although i've never tried it any other way), i expect you need to burn it as a DVD-Video rather than and DVD-ROM iso.

Edit - i've just read that you have a mod chip. So in theory, you don't need to do all this. But you might want to try both ways anyway. I'm not familiar with your modchip.

try DVD-R instead fo DVD+R. i've never tried DVD+R, so i dunno what diference if any it will make but i do know DVD-R does work on my V9 PS2.

Bad... All my Divx was burnt on DVD+R... Is there any method to make PSTwo v13 read DVD+R when using SMS.

Is it only a problem with SMS? Does the DVD+R work with other homebrew?

This is no matter, DVD-R or DVD+R, like for me (V9, Messsia2 on board)
Are you sure that yours DVDs not multisession (closed) ?

All my DVD+R burnt using Nero Burning Rom, finalized and non-multisession.

BTW, all my PS2 games backup on this DVD+R, they all played perfectly on my pstwo without a glitch.
