FTP speeds

Seems my ftp transfer speeds are limited to about 130-150 kb/s. Is this about normal for everyone? I know the sony network adapter is capped at around 750kb/s and my brothers xbox ftps a 700mb file in about 6 mins. Also when installing games via hdl_dumb on remote is around 2 mb/s. Is this an issue with myps2?

The PS2's transfer protocols are much different the the xbox. For a sack of arguement the Xbox has the same FTp functions as a home PC and the development for FTP transfer was much easier to master. The PS2, although ready for high-speed connection was much harder to master.

So overall, you getting about average-max of what everone gets.

so in other words, u cant go beyond 128kb/s (thats what i get) ???
