Hi,

I saw no forum of the official LaunchELF so I'll post this here.

I have a USB Stick of 128 mb. When I insert it into my PS2 and boot LaunchELF, go to the file browser, and click on mass, it doesn't display anything :S. How can I browse my USB Stick with LaunchELF?

Please give some a simple answer, I'm only a n00b :)

Greetz,
Vincent

What brand of thumb drive is it? Some are just not compatible.

first is what you need is an USBD.IRX is insert at many Games you must look for that a good search is at Gran Turismo4 or google for naplink there is an USBD.IRX in the rar Archive
When you have the USBD.IRX put it at your MC in SYS CONF.

o.k. i hope this will help you 1 step nearer to your USB-STICK lol

Definately try the USBD.IRX. I know my Poloroid digi cam with 64mb card works. Annd my Cruzer Micro 128mb does too.

uLaunchELF as well as the original both use the Napalm's USBD driver. The module is built in so placing a usbd.irx driver in any folder won't do anything. Currently if you want to use your own usbd.irx you'll have to rebuild uLaunchELF. Some new changes have been made with the ps2sdk in regards to usbd. Maybe we can change Napalm's to that one but as of right now the verdict is out.

An important thing to note is that the usb mass storage device must be formatted in FAT file system.

There are some variations on the FAT filesystem around.

What Windows sometimes calls just "FAT" is in fact "FAT16", which is less compatible to PS2 software than "FAT32". If you ever want to use USBAdvance/USBExtreme, then it is FAT32 you must have, in any case.

The best way of ensuring that you get a compatible FAT32 filesystem is to use the program "ul_format.exe" to do it. It comes with USBAdvance/USBExtreme, so just search for it.
