Anyone got this working on the hdd, mine wont load off the hdd. off of my usb stick it gets to usb irx file says its ok and hangs. any tips?

cletus did you grab a usb irx file from somewhere because it doesnt come with the program

This is a known problem and NTBA2 has recommended that you only run the program from Memory Card for now until he can sort things out.

From the READ ME:
If you want to use your USB stick with myPS2 you need to supply an
USBD.IRX module. You can find this module on many PS2 game discs so
you can just copy it from one of your games.

Alternatively you can use the usbd module from Naplink which
can be downloaded at http://naplink.napalm-x.com/

myPS2 will look for the USBD.IRX module in the installation directory first.
If it can't find the file in the installation directory it will then look for
the module on the memory card in the following places:

- mc0:/USBD.IRX
- mc0:/SYS-CONF/USBD.IRX
- mc0:/BOOT/USBD.IRX
- mc0:/BOOT/SMS/USBD.IRX
- mc0:/BOOT/PS2MP3/USBD.IRX
- mc0:/SMS/USBD.IRX
- mc0:/PS2MP3/USBD.IRX

You get the usb.irx seperate from the program because it has copyright issues, just use naplink (correct me if i am wrong) it should be on there. I can't get it to run off of my mc, but it will get up to the check for the usb on my usb through launch elf. it hangs after it says it has found the usb and it is ok. I will wait though. when ever it works.

-what i thought is, the reason they didnt allow it to be posted and distributed was that it wasnt able to be. i heard naplink had/has permission to use it.

have you tried one from a game? I dont think its a copy right issue, but a matter of giving you an option to use one you may have already .

Amazing job, this program is a must have, but i also have a sugestion; I am running the program using the built in laucher in O2 modchip, this works almost identically than that in the Matrix infinity, so i need to have all the .elf files i want to use with this feature in the same folder in the memory card. The program works like a charm but the config file name makes conflict with the config file of execftps, so i can not use both program in the same folder (bye bye execftps).

You could rename the config file to myps2cnf.dat for example and this would fix all filename conflicts there would have with any program running from the same folder.

hi all,
Im runnning myps2 1.0 in MC.
I have a few questions.
1.)Can thumbnail caching being cache in the usb Hdd/because under setting the directory can be change?I did saw a big improvement after doing that but however the jpg does not seems to appear?
2.)I'm able to play mp3/run elf off my usb hdd but jpg thumbnail and viewer doesnt seem to work ?
3.)My usb hdd is formated in fat32

USe Launch elf to copy the files to mc ...but use the official version 3.41..
don't use the unofficial .....it seems broken...I have tried using the unofficial version and does not seems to work.....

hmm i tried the usbd.irx from naplink and also tried 1 from 25 to life.. and both gave me nothing when trying to boot off the usb flash :(

I run 3.41S with USBD.IRX from Sony's demo CD PAL.

Works like a dream.
