Are there any instructions on how to apply a skin to SMS?

The only thing I read about skins for SMS was putting the skin.sms file in same directory but I'm able to veiw the skin threw SMS. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm sure Dave T will be putting this in his manual soon. Until then, check out this old thread, although off topic in parts:

Any cool SMS backgrounds out there?

i want one that makes SMS look like a legit player. Not some Sci-Fi background :)

Maybe it's a good idea to wait making your own skin since EEUG is recreating the look of sms (as far as I understanded;))

EEUG is rewriting the GS, not the interface, the interface should stay the same for rev4... why change something that is great right? :p
So there is no reason why the skins for rev3 shouldn't work on rev4...

And yes, maybe it's better that u create your own skin, and if u want then u can share it with us right here ;) Maybe we should create a topic for skin-sharing :chinscrat

I guess it has got to do with the way SMS "draws stuff on the screen" (haven't got other way to say this =P )... what it means I don't know... Graphical System maybe? xD

Yeah, I heard something that SMS only uses the even lines and that EEUG is creating that all the lines are using. But correct me if I'm wrong

@BigMichiel: ...GS means "Graphics Synthesizer" - some kind of video card insude PS2 ;). It has to be configured and managed from the application, since there's no such a thing like "GS driver"...

Now you say it, I remember that I had to choose it when I installed Linux on the PS2. This makes everything clear:)
