Network steaming

Wonder if anyone can help me, ive tried everything and i cant get it working.

Im using a Cross over cable to connect my PS2 to the PC, CONFIG.DAT file is as follows(PC settings are IP Addy: 192.168.2.23, Subnet: 255.255.255.0, Gateway: 192.168.2.1 :: PS2 settings IP Addy: 192.168.2.22 Subnet: 255.255.255.0, Gateway: 192.168.2.1) i can FTP fine but SMS wont find my network. I boot up Red Host Client up enter IP(192.168.2.22) add a dir, then boot SMS up, wait abit(2mins) and no network icon, only the HDD and CD. What am i doing wrong :banghead: btw using SMS v1.5

forgot to mention yes i am going to the menu and starting the network

I dunno why u used 192.168.2.1 as Gateway, but if u only connected ur PC and PS2 directly using a Cross Over cable u can use the following settings:

PC:
- IP: 192.168.2.23
- Subnet: 255.255.255.0
- Gateway: (leave blank)

PS2:
- IP: 192.168.2.22
- Subnet: 255.255.255.0
- Gateway: 192.168.2.23 (PC's IP address)

This should do the trick, at least it works for me (using a dif range of private IP addresses, but that shouldn't be an issue) ;)
