a quick question about flashing

I just ordered a premod pstwo with the dms 4 lite chip installed from http://modchipworld.com and I was wondering how am I supposed to flash it when it gets here. Am I just supposed to burn the dms 4 bios upgrade 0.6 that I found on the dms site to a cd-r and it will load and then I can flash it from there and then I am done or what? I am used to dealing with modding xbox's and im new to ps2's. Any info would be appreciated. I tried searching numerous times and turned up nothing on the subject.

Its really that simple just toss the firmware disk in it should boot and It will promt you to hit the start button on your controller and it should flash

Thanks for help, I was just wondering a couple of other things. What would be the best firmware to use with the DMS 4 lite. Also what dashboard would you recomend?

a) Download ToxicBIOS 1.4 From www.dms3.com. Burn the ISO image then run it on your PS2. You will then be prompted to flash the modchip.

PS2's dont have dashboards. If there is no disc in the drive when the PS2 boots, the internal Sony Browser will be booted from ROM. However, with your DMS4, you can override this and boot a program of your choice. A good filebrowser and launcher is LaunchELF, which I find is useful as the "first boot" program. http://www.ps2-scene.org/forums/showthread.php?t=37242

On PS2, this is called Devolution Mode. There are 2 "Devolution" modes - Dev1 (Memory Card) and Dev2 (Hard Drive). Each mode has a program (specfically a ELF file) associated with it, and will be booted when this mode is activated.

On DMS4, Dev1 mode is activated by holding Triangle when booting the PS2
On DMS4, Dev2 mode is activated by holding Start when booting the PS2.

I have a question I have the dms4 lite too and trying to get it going but you say www.dms3.com to get toxic but that does not have toxic there and on the team toxic site it say's at the bottom

It is important to note that in order to use ToxicOS you MUST have a DMS4 Pro modchip installed, it is not possible to use with DMS4 Lite.

so please tell me wich is it so I don't ruin something thank's

for toxic you need to go to http://www.teamtoxic.com.cn. i just flashed OS 0.4 onto my EZI Pro and damn! ToxicOS is tha shit! For further explination:
if you have a DMS4 Lite, use ToxicBIOS 1.4.
if you have a DMS4 Pro, use ToxicOS 0.4.

this applies to both the E.Z.I versions as well as the solder versions.
