This tool is very similar to WinHIIP except it allows you to access/create common partitions on your ps2 hard drive and transfer any files (including AVI) to it using your computer. It is much more convenient and faster to transfer movies then ftp'ing, especially if you have an external usb IDE cable (like me :)). The application is in Portuguese, but if you look at the sticky in the English forum on their site, there is a translation guide for English. Here is the link where you can read about it and download it http://explorer.egama.eti.br/. Feel free to discuss and I hope you all enjoy this find.

This application is really cool. I tested yesterday transferring 700meg of divx file into my ps2 hdd and it didn't mess up with my games.

It's NOT stable. It WILL (sooner or later) damage your data. But still I love this tool :D

In order to preserve data, would be important NOT to switch between apps, (PVS Explorer, Winhiip, HDL dumb, etc)...This app seems to be great, only have to test it ;)

I'd love to use it once it's reliable, but last I read, it wasn't.

if you've got all your iso's backed up on your computer, feel free to use the PFS explorer to your heart's content.... but if your only copy of games is on the ps2 hard drive... then i'd stay away from it, it's like totally incompatiable with winhiip or hdl-dump when you create a partition, and basically jacks up your HD.
It's not a big deal to reformat and start over though... hopefully these guys will start working on it again.

PFS Explorer is only useable if the partition is smaller then 1GB and made with it (partitions made with DMS HDD format tool will produce bugs). And sometimes this tool corrupts whole disk stricture. But still it's the best option you can find :D

I was installing many games for my friend that has bought a new hd for his ps2 and all genesis roms.. then I was curious to play with psf explorer and it fucked up the genesis roms partitions (it had more than 1gb).. so I don't recommend it to anyone until is stable..
